Another great example! Newborn babies are born with the ability to recognize voices, music, even books if you've read to them in utero! For babies born with hearing loss it's essential that they are fit with devices at the earliest possible moment in order for typical brain development to occur in these early months. Have questions? Have you heard of "serve and return"? Very young babies will learn to "take turns" cooing and babbling with you. Babies with hearing loss should be amplified as quickly as possible so they don't miss out on this brain building opportunity.
