HOT! HOT! HOT! **Stay Hydrated—For Your Health**

Drinking enough water each day is one of the simplest ways to stay healthy—especially during hot weather. Water keeps your body temperature steady, cushions your joints, helps you focus, and even supports your mood and energy.

Why Hydration Matters:

1. Regulates temperature** through sweat
2. Lubricates joints** to reduce pain
3. Boosts brain function** (even mild dehydration can affect focus and memory)
4. Prevents health issues** like headaches, constipation, and heat stroke
5. Supports mood and behavior**, especially in children and older adults

Quick Tips to Stay Hydrated:

1. Aim for 8 glasses a day** or use this formula: your weight Ă· 3 = daily ounces of water
2. Drink when you're thirsty, and always with meals
3. Choose water first, but coffee, tea, and sparkling water can help too
4. Keep a refillable water bottle with you throughout the day
5. Drink more when it’s hot, or if you're exercising or feeling sick

Watch for Signs of Dehydration:

* Dry mouth
* Dizziness
* Dark urine
* Rapid heartbeat
* Trouble focusing or low energy

Severe dehydration can be dangerous—seek medical help if symptoms persist.

Bonus: Eat Your Water!

Foods like watermelon, cucumbers, celery, and strawberries help hydrate your body too.

💧 Every body is different—ask your doctor about the right hydration plan for you, especially if you take medications or have health conditions.
