One way we bring Montessori principles to life is by creating programs that celebrate our residents’ unique interests and talents. Each month, our Bread Basket Manager, Paulina, hosts a cooking demonstration—turning cherished recipes into shared experiences and lasting memories. 🍳📖

This month, our lovely resident Cindy took center stage, sharing one of her favorite go-to recipes! She not only helped Paulina with the demo but also served her fellow residents with joy and pride. 💛

These programs open the door to so many possibilities—cooking demos, taste tests, storytelling, scrapbooking, and more. It’s a beautiful way to honor our residents’ abilities and preserve their achievements in our very own Bickford Cookbook. 🥘✨

After losing her beloved husband just days after moving into assisted living, Lynn—once a vibrant flight attendant and fashionista—faced her darkest days. But with the help of a compassionate care team, a loyal dog named Carly, and a few signs from above (yes, cardinals 🐦), she’s rediscovering her sparkle.

💄💫 Now 80, Lynn is back to wearing earrings, giving hugs, and turning heads in her shiny black jacket.

Belle’s Place enjoyed an afternoon of food and fellowship at our Family and Friends Gathering Saturday afternoon!

The rain came and the winds blew but that did not stop our day of fellowship amd fun! We all gathered into the dining and living room, continuing to enjoy our time with each other.

Many hours of planning and preparing by our Team made this day possible!

Smiles were had by all!

A huge thank you to Emma from Emma’s Sweet Treats for the lovely cupcakes, the 1019 Team; Robin, Amber, Connie, Michaela, Isaiah, Christina, Elena who served and supported our Friends for the afternoon, Pastor Paul and Julie for all your help during the storm, serving and clean-up, Heather Kesler for her support throughout the day, all the families and friends who joined their loved ones for the day, those who jumped in and helped when help was needed and…last but not least, my husband Jeremy for being by my side through all the chaos!
