Oak Hill Cemetery

Oak Hill Cemetery Formal dedication was on October 20, 1875. Formal dedication was on October 20, 1875, with the public schools and Wabash College faculty and students invited.

Located in the historic, small town of Crawfordsville, IN, Oak Hill Cemetery Company was formed on April 12, 1875 by a group of fourteen investors whom purchased over 100 acres of land. Various other city organizations took part in the ceremony. Oak Hill is a beautiful old cemetery with many features. We have three locations - Oak Hill North, Oak Hill South, and Oak Hill Grant. At the North location, we have the Mausoleum with inside and outside crypts, a Columbarium, Babyland, and a Cremation Section. Oak Hill also has many legendary hero's buried within our cemetery. Oak Hill provides an elegant, well maintained place to be buried. Please feel free to visit our grounds at any time or stop in the Office to meet our friendly staff and find the answers to any questions you may have.

Cemetery Spring Clean-up will begin tomorrow, March 2, 2018. Per cemetery policy, this will be a FULL clean-up. This means that all flowers and items will be removed from the headstones and the graves, including flowers that may be in vases.

If there are any items that you would like to keep, we strongly encourage you to go to the cemetery and pick up as soon as possible. Cleanup will begin with South cemetery and proceed to the other two cemeteries the following week.

All Cemeteries shall be completed by Friday, March 9th, 2018.

It is time to order your winter grave blankets and wreaths for your loved ones buried in our cemeteries. Revenue from sales will help Oak Hill Cemetery maintain and improve our cemeteries in the year 2016.

Blankets are made with evergreen boughs and will be decorated with red bows.

Decorated wreaths are 26" in diameter. They will have a red bow as well, along with two to three pinecones.

Both, blankets and wreaths will add beauty and warmth to your loved one's grave for the winter and throughout the Christmas season.

The blankets and wreaths will be placed on the grave before Thanksgiving (weather permitting) and remain on the graves until March 1st, when the grass starts its growing season. If the decorations become unsightly, they may be removed prior to March 1st as determined by the Superintendent.

Call the cemetery office and speak with Suzi to place your order today!
