As a birth and postpartum doula, my care doesn’t end once baby is born - it grows with the family.
I was there to welcome these little toes earthside, and now I get to nurture the whole family in the early weeks at home. Sometimes that means cleaning the house or cooking while mom and baby rest, sometimes it’s lactation support, and sometimes (like this visit) it’s giving baby some extra love and attention while their parents catch up on their adult lives or enjoy some self-care.
I love all of my duties as a doula, but being able to care for and admire perfect, tiny humans is one of my favorites. 💕

This morning, I witnessed a mama fiercely advocate for herself during birth - speaking with confidence and authority - and I couldn’t be any prouder.

With the right birth preparation and education, it becomes so much easier to trust your intuition. Mamas, you have the power and the right to choose how you birth your baby. You have the right to make decisions for YOUR body and YOUR baby without needing to prioritize what’s most convenient for your providers.

As much as I hate to turn anyone away, I am fully booked for BIRTHS for the remainder of 2025. To those who have recently reached out to book, please check your email - I have sent a few local doula recommendations your way. 🫶🏼

I do still have some availability for scheduled appointments for the following services:

• Prenatal Appointments - these will cover birth planning; one on one birth class (hypnobirthing, partner coaching, labor and birth position guidance, etc.); birth and postpartum education; and more!

• Lactation Support Visits (In Home) - perfect for latch evaluation, ni**le sizing, pump instruction, safe breastmilk storage education, breastfeeding problem troubleshooting, etc.

• Short Term Postpartum Visits - this includes but is not limited to: meal preparation, light housekeeping, maternal mental support, newborn baby care, sitz bath prep, home organization, etc.

2025 has been so good to me; I cant wait to see what the rest of 2025 holds!

“Breastfeeding is natural - but that doesn’t mean it’s easy.”

I say this often because so many moms are led to believe that nursing should just come naturally. But the truth is - it doesn’t always. Not for you, and not always for your baby either.⁣

As a mom myself, I’m part of many online parenting groups (the good, the bad, and the chaotic). I see posts every day asking things like:
👉 “Does this latch look right?”
👉 “Why am I still in pain?”
👉 “What am I doing wrong?”

The intentions behind the responses are usually kind, but let’s be honest, there’s a lot of misinformation out there. And it’s not your fault. Proper lactation education is not something most families receive at birth. In fact, many are sent home with little more than a hope and a ni**le cream.⁣

So here’s your gentle reminder:
When you’re struggling, skip the Facebook crowd-sourcing, and reach out to someone trained to help.
I’m a Certified Lactation Counselor, and I’m here to support you with real, evidence-based care and encouragement.⁣

✨ There’s no magic number of days you should be “pushing through” bloody, painful nursing.
✨ Pain relief balms and silver cups might temporarily ease the symptoms — but they don’t address the root of the issue and can actually present new issues.
✨ You’re doing a wonderful job. The fact that you’re concerned shows just how deeply you care. 💛

🌙 Vivid Pregnancy Dreams? You’re not alone! 🌙

If you’ve been having vivid - or even scary - dreams during pregnancy, you are absolutely not alone. So many expectant mamas experience this, especially in the first and third trimesters.
Shifting hormones like progesterone and estrogen can impact your REM cycle, making dreams feel more emotional, symbolic, or intense. Add in nighttime discomfort, mental overwhelm, and disrupted sleep - and suddenly your dreams can feel just as exhausting as your daytime life.
If you’ve been carrying heavy dreams, know this: you’re not broken or alone. You’re simply processing so much - emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

💤 Gentle Ways to Invite Better Sleep 💤

⚪️Create a calming bedtime ritual: Dim the lights, drink a cup of herbal tea, listen to soft music or white noise, practice yoga, meditation, or prayer.

⚪️ Journal before bed: Write out your fears, feelings, or even a positive dream you would like to have.

⚪️ Surround yourself with comfort and security: Rest in a clean bed with supportive pillows. Snuggle with your partner, beloved pets, or a favorite blanket.

⚪️ Use a grounding touch: One hand on your heart, one on your belly. Inhale slowly, exhale tension.

⚪️ Avoid screen time or doomscrolling before sleep: Put the phone away before laying down. Eliminate overstimulation.

⚪️ Speak words of affirmation: Guide your subconscious gently into peace.
