So grateful for nights like this 💚 At our recent house party, our Development Director, Ramsie, shared how the Women’s Health Center of Maryland has become a lifeline for patients across Mountain Maryland and beyond in just two years—made possible by a community that truly shows up.

A HUGE thanks to our wonderful hosts Ann, Erin, and Kelly, and to board members Cresta and Judy, for an evening rooted in connection, care, and shared purpose in Baltimore.

We unequivocally denounce ICE’s presence in our communities in Maryland and across the country. Detention centers and enforcement tactics that tear families apart have no place in communities rooted in dignity, care, and mutual respect.

ICE is not welcome at our Center. Our patients, staff, and neighbors deserve safety, compassion, and justice—not fear. We will continue to stand with our communities and fight for a Maryland where everyone can seek care and live freely.”

In Dr. King’s last Christmas sermon at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta (1967), he emphasized the interconnectedness of human rights struggles across the globe, saying, “It really boils down to this: that all life is interrelated.” He went on to say, “We are all caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied into a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one destiny, affects all indirectly.”

His words and legacy remain a powerful reminder that we are connected by our struggles, that politicians will never save us, and that we must fight hand in hand to create the world we wish to live in. We’re committed to doing our part by ensuring compassionate reproductive and sexual healthcare is available in Mountain Maryland for ALL who need it.

The legislative session kicked off this week in our beautiful Capital City, and WHC MD board members Betsey, Judy, and Cresta met with legislators to champion reproductive freedom in Mountain Maryland.
