Emotions aren't just in your mindโฆ they are felt in your body.
Unprocessed emotions, particularly fear, grief, or trauma, create holding patterns in your fascia, leading to tightness, restricted movement, or even chronic pain. Because fascia is rich in sensory nerves, fascia stores unprocessed stress and trauma when there's no safe outlet.
That's why you might cry in deep stretches or feel "stuck" after doing all the work. Also, in Chinese medicine, fascia is linked to the Liver and sinew channels, which store repressed anger and blocked energy (qi).
That lump in your throat, the weight in your chest, or the tightness in your hips?
Your fascia is holding onto past experiences.
When your nervous system is in fight, flight, or freeze, your fascia contracts to protect you. Over time, if stress remains unresolved, fascia stays rigid, limiting movement and disrupting circulation, lymph flow, and even breath patterns.
The longer tension is held, the more deeply ingrained it becomes-until the body is given permission to release.
LET IT FLOW
Fascia is 70% water and collagen. It needs hydration, movement, and safety to function.
When it's stiff, signals don't flow. Emotions can't move. Healing stalls.
When it's fluid, you feel:
๐ฆ Lightness
๐ฆ Emotional release
๐ฆ Regulation
๐ฆ Expansion in your breath and being
It's like clearing a dam and letting life force return to your tissues.
Basic Fascia Healing Tips
๐Hydrate optimally: Water! Water! Water! Add Ningxia Red + Mineral Essence for even more fluid, elastic fascia. Of course, Bloom Collagen Complete is nurturing to all connective tissue, including the fascia
๐Daily movement - such as walking and RAINBOW QIGONG
๐Stretch consciously, not aggressively. Fascia responds to slow, sustained release.
๐Targeted breathwork
๐SLOW DOWN!! Allow your body to unwind chronic tension
๐Check your posture. How you hold your body affects how your body holds you.
