Del Norte County Behavioral Health Branch has released a draft of the Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA) three year Integrated Plan for 2026-2029. This plan details the behavioral health programs, areas of interest, and plans for the next three years. Community members, providers, and partners are invited to review the plan and share feedback during the 30-Day public comment period.

🗓️Public comment will be open from April 1, 2026 to April 30, 2026.

REACH FOR SUCCESS PEER MENTORING PROGRAM

Do you know a high school student that is looking to get paid work experience but not quite ready for a part time job?
OR
Plans to work with kids in some capacity in the future and wants to gain experience?

Coastal Connections has a program that only requires roughly 2 hours a week of commitment, and in return you build leadership skills, social emotional learning skills, get an overview of Mental Health First Aid, a certificate of completion and $225 stipend per student at the end of each semester for attendance.
Reach for Success Peer Mentoring can also enhance your resume, job or college applications as work experience or community engagement.

IMPORTANT DATES: Mandatory Mentor Training for Spring - February 2nd, 2pm at Coastal Connections, 475 K street Crescent City CA 95531

ATTENTION EVERYONE: WE HAVE A YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID CLASS COMING UP THIS TUESDAY, DEC 9TH. PLEASE REGISTER ASAP!!

We also have an adult mental health first aid class on January 9th. Feel free to register for that as well. Both classes are FREE!! :D
