We have multiple openings for medical assistants within our busy acute care clinic!
Available Positions:
-Medical Assistant (2):
Friday and Saturday 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM (26-32 hours total)
-Medical Assistant (1):
Friday 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM (16-20 hours total)
**Additional shifts will be available on a per-diem basis with the possibility of moving to full time in the future.
Job Types: Part-time, per diem
Pay: From $23.00 per hour, DOE

This role requires familiarity with computers. This role requires occasional (light to moderate) lifting up to 50 pounds.
Candidate requirements:
-1 year minimum experience as a medical assistant
-Injections certification or 1 year minimum experience with
injections through a previous clinic
-CPR / BLS Certification
-1 year minimum experience in clinical medical assisting, certification not required.
-Proof of vaccination: Covid-19, TDAP, Flu, MMR, Varicella, and Hep B vaccinations are required for all staff per the state of California. TB screening dependent upon questionnaire.
Medical assistant responsibilities include:
-Rooming patients and taking vital signs
-Documenting patient histories on Electronic Medical Records
-Collecting specimens for lab work
-Cleaning patient areas and unloading inventory
-Answering phones and working the reception desk
-Giving test results and medical advice under the supervision and -direction of a licensed medical provider.
-Assisting medical providers with procedures within California's Scope of Practice
-Helping create the best walk-in medical service Humboldt County can provide in a rapidly evolving small business.
