I had a memory of long ago having a conversation with myself (I Thought!!)
I was justifying what I wanted to do and say. I knew by church teachings and the Bible stories of Jesus that those choices would not be one’s Jesus would have made. So I had to let faith and belief in Christ go for what I wanted to do and say.
Then one day, in the darkest of pits, the Lord alone picked me up and set me on a rock. The unconditional love and total lack of conviction for past sins made me want to be different. I know I fail often and I’m regretful for that. I ask forgiveness for anything I may have done or said that hurt you or someone else.
I am reposting this message below but it would be my hope that one day I might be someone who others would read an offensive phrase and think “She WOULD NOT say that!” I’m certainly not there yet but with the help of the Lord and others walking in the light, maybe the love of God can shine more brightly through me.

Apparently someone has found another way to hurt and offend people for No reason. Here is a heads up for everyone. There is a new hack on FB. It includes a hurtful phrase coming from you. It is usually very dirty and appears that you have written it. You will NOT see it, but your friends will. This creates many misunderstandings. So to all of my contacts, if anything shocking, inappropriate, or indecent shows up, it's not from me. You may wish to copy this to your wall.

My experience is that it grows only deeper—this desire to be met and seen and known. In the brokenness and chaos we live with, in the loneliness and fatigue, there is a longing to hear ourselves being called back into life. Even as grief can blunt that longing, making us want to turn away and hide, it can also have a way of sharpening it, of making that longing for life more fierce. This is a difficult, beautiful gift. I am so grateful for the blessings that keep bearing this gift, including the blessings that come in the form of people. Like you, for instance. Bless you.

There is a kindness that dwells deep down in things; it presides everywhere, often in the places we least expect. The world can be harsh and negative, but if we remain generous and patient, kindness inevitably reveals itself. Something deep in the human soul seems to depend on the presence of kindness; something instinctive in us expects it, and once we sense it we are able to trust and open ourselves.
