Judy Scott Evans, passed away Thursday, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Bartonsville.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Norris and Leah Bartleson Scott. She was educated in Wallenpaupack Area Schools and a 1976 Graduate of Wallenpaupack High School.

Judy enjoyed crafting, sewing, gardening, and spending time in the woods, but her greatest enjoyment came from being around her grandchildren.

She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her children: Michael Hanor, Dave Hanor, Crystal Evans, Jessica Evans, Rachel Evans, and Joseph Evans; her grandchildren Blake, Kody, Kady, Mikhayla, McKenna, Madison, Dylan, Peyton, and Carson.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Rogers and a brother, James Scott.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 16 at 1:00 p.m. in the Frey-Fetsock Funeral Home, Inc., 201 Rt 191, Village of LaAnna, S. Sterling. Interment at Pine Grove Cemetery, South Sterling.

Friends may call Tuesday, December 16 at the funeral hone from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.

David C. Jones, also known as Mickey, of Greentown PA, born in Scranton PA, and also resided in Chinchilla PA and Marietta GA, died November 9, 2025 in Greentown PA at the age of 63. He was a valued employee of Capri Marina at Lake Wallenpaupack for many years He will be deeply missed by his fmaily, his close friends and his coworkers. May he rest in peace.

GREENTOWN – Kenneth Paul Karpovich, 63, of Greentown, Pennsylvania passed away on December 2, 2025.

Ken was the son of the late Mary (Arts) and Frederick Karpovich. Ken, born and raised in Morris County, New Jersey, continued to live in Morris County, until he moved his family to a self- built home in Greene, New York, before ultimately settling in Greentown. Ken was a graduate of Morris Catholic High School and attended Syracuse University where he made lifelong friends and earned a degree in Chemical Engineering.

Ken was a devoted and fiercely protective family man, marrying his college sweetheart, Melissa Karpovich (Smith), and having two children, Amanda Karpovich and the late Ryan Karpovich. Ken loved visiting with his daughter and son-in law, playing with his grandchildren, and vacationing with his brother, John Karpovich, and his family.

As a lifelong small-business entrepreneur, Ken proudly took over the third-generation Aluminum Matchplate Company, founded in 1926. With a tireless work ethic and characteristic determination and ingenuity, he expanded the business from three employees to over 25 by merging with the Industrial Ferguson Company, where he continued to serve as sole proprietor, with his right hand, Sally Lim, by his side.

An outdoorsman at heart, Ken enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. He was also an avid
motor-sports enthusiast who could be found for many years behind the wheel on local tracks across the tri-state area. He also had a passion for hockey whether playing, coaching his son, Ryan, or cheering on the NY Rangers.

Ken is survived by his much loved daughter, Amanda, his son-in-law, Jared, and his beloved grandchildren, Lucas and Charlotte. He is also survived by his former wife and lifelong friend, Melissa, his beloved brother and friend, John, his sister-in-law, Michelle, and his nephews, Daniel and Matthew, and his sister- and brother-in-law, Michelle and Steve Selden. He leaves behind many friends, colleagues, and extended family, and he will forever be remembered for his devotion to his family, his loyal friendship, and his dependability and determination.

Services will be held to honor Ken’s life from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at the Frey-Fetsock Funeral Home in Greentown, PA. Ken was a man who cared deeply for others. In his honor and in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the AFSP. In his death, the family’s wish is to help another survive.

Marilyn Minnick, of Greentown died Wednesday evening at Allied Services Hospice. She was the widow of George Charles Minnick, who died December 10, 2007.

Born in East Orange, New Jersey, daughter of the late Albert and Ruth Zweckbanner Bauer, she was of the Presbyterian faith. Marilyn enjoyed crocheting, needle pointing and doing crossword puzzles.

She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed.

She is survived by three daughters: Carolyn Costanzo and husband Ray; Diane Unangst; Karen Barranow and husband Joe; four sons: Glenn Minnick; Ricky Minnick and wife Kara; Carl Minnick; Bruce Minnick and wife Mary; 32 grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be on Sunday, November 16 at 1:00 PM in the Frey-Fetsock Funeral Home Inc., 201 Rt 191, Village of LaAnna, S. Sterling PA. Interment private at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call Sunday from 11:00 AM until the service.

Rebecca (Becky) Jo (Foster) Dawson, 55, of Newfoundland, PA passed away on November 9th, 2025, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born on September 3rd, 1970, in Abington, PA to William and Janice Foster. Becky was the middle child of four other siblings. She was the family matriarch and glue that held both friends and family together.

She was a graduate of Palisades High School in 1988 where she was a member of the marching band rifle corps and went on to study at Slippery Rock University. She worked at county linen in Doylestown, PA, Doylestown Hospital, The French Manor Inn and Spa for 10 years as head innkeeper. Most recent, she retired from Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, where she was an executive assistant. Becky was also a member of the Newfoundland Rotary Club for 9 years.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Michael A. Dawson of Newfoundland, PA, her 3 children, Noah and wife Nicole of South Sterling, PA, William of Newfoundland, PA, and Ruby of Newfoundland, PA, along with her 4 siblings Michael Foster, Jim Foster, Rachel Foster Klupp, and Nicki Foster Studva, as well as 1 granddaughter, Harper June Dawson. She is preceded in death by her mother Janice M. Foster and her father William A. Foster.

Becky had a powerful work ethic with a high acuity for customer service. She loved all things crafts, puzzles, baking, and 80’s alternative music. She will forever be remembered for her strong determination, ever loving heart, and smile that lit up any room. Words can never truly describe the woman she was, the example she set and the bravery she showed. Her light and kindest of hearts will live on within all that had the fortune of knowing her.

There will be a celebration of life scheduled at a later date per Becky’s and her family’s wishes. All are welcome to attend.

Donna Trapani Fetsock died at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. She was preceded in death by her husband John W. Fetsock, Sr. They were married 43 years before his passing in 2016.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late John and Anna Gazoo Trapani, she was educated in the Scranton School District, a graduate of West Scranton High School, class of 1969.

Donna was employed by the Scranton School District and enjoyed her time serving the districts’ libraries. She retired to take care of her mother, and later in life cared for the love of her life, her husband John.

After her retirement, she enjoyed shopping and going to lunches with her former colleague and dear friend, Tina Connolly, watching her soap operas with her dog Buddy, reading, and talking on the phone.

Donna was always the life of any party she attended, where she would be seen in the middle of the dance floor laughing and smiling.

Donna loved with her whole heart, especially her two granddaughters, who were the greatest joys of her life. No matter how many pranks they would pull on her, she played along happily.

She will be remembered by her kindness, love, and strength.

She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who will be deeply missed.

Surviving are a son, John W. Fetsock Jr. and wife, Meg Welker of Lakeville; her granddaughters, Morgan and Brooke Fetsock; two sisters, Johanne Fox and Angela Griffiths, a brother, John Trapani and wife Dorothy; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey M. Fetsock, who died in May of 2015.

Friends may call Wednesday, November 12 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Frey-Fetsock Funeral Home Inc., 201 Route 191, Village of LaAnna, South Sterling, and on Thursday, November 13 from 4 to 6 p.m. at McGoff-Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 1401 Capouse Ave., Scranton.

There will be a blessing service Thursday, November 13 at 6 p.m. in the McGoff-Hughes Funeral Home Inc., by Monsignor Neil Van Loon. Interment will be at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, where she will be reunited with her husband.

Funeral arrangements have been handled by her son, John W. Fetsock, Jr.

Frances Laney, of Bethlehem, passed away Friday October 31, 2025, in Riverton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Allentown. She was the widow of Robert Laney.

Born in Prince George Virginia, daughter of the late Leslie B Hall and Virgina Lee Sublet and stepfather Richard Lester McEntee. Frances was member of the Red Hat Society.

She enjoyed doing puzzles, arts, and crafts. Her sense of humor was great, and she loved horror movies most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.

She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and from whom will deeply be missed.

Surviving her daughter Debbie Corbin Walton, and husband Barry; sons Keith Williams and wife Nellie; Ronnie Williams and wife Trish; John Williams; Michael Turner and wife Michelle; Charles Laney and wife Lori; sisters Barbara Lee Holzel; Patricia McEntee Kidwell brother Steve McEntee; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces and nephews.

Edward Woodbridge, of Scranton died Sunday morning in the Gino Merli Veterans Center. He was the widow of Carol Zera Woodbridge who died December 26,2015.

Born in Scranton son of the late William and Thema Weber Woodbridge, a member of St. Patrick’s Church. Prior to retirement he was employed by Anemostat. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran and was a member of the Taylor American Legion.

Ed enjoyed fishing, football rooting for the Steelers, and having a drink with friends at Bigy’s Tavern.

He was a loving caring father andgrandfather who will be deeply missed.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Gino Merli Veterans Center, for their kind and compassionate care that was given to him.

He is survived by one daughter Pam Do**es and husband Arnie; one son Edward Woodbridge and wife Suzanne; his grandchildren Mackenzie and Ryley Do**es, Brody and Mayson Woodbridge.

William “Billy” Dwyer III, 77, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, in South Sterling, Pennsylvania. Born on October 2, 1947, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Billy lived a vibrant and creative life that touched many.

A 1966 graduate of Scranton Technical School, Billy pursued a career that combined his natural flair for beauty with his deep appreciation for design. He spent over two decades living in New York City, where he established himself as a highly sought-after floral designer. His talent and vision earned him the opportunity to create arrangements for numerous celebrities, including Joan Crawford, Diana Ross, Johnny Carson, Marlo Thomas, Barbra Streisand, Tory Burch, Ralph Lauren and many more. Billy took immense pride in his work and was deeply gratified by the admiration it received.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Billy was known for his impeccable taste and boundless creativity. After returning to Wayne County later in life, he fulfilled a lifelong dream by opening Swan Antiques—a charming country shop that reflected his passion for antiques and interior design. His home and garden were extensions of his artistic spirit: with greenery from his extensive plant collection and curated with vintage treasures. His garden was especially beloved by those who visited.

Billy’s interests extended beyond design. He had a deep affection for Old Hollywood MGM movie classics . He & his partner loved going to garden centers, estate sales & antiquing on the weekends. Above all, he loved animals, the outdoors & nature.
His Catholic faith remained an important part of his life throughout the years.

He is survived by his partner Richard of 61 years. Cousin, Karen Slaughter; Nieces & nephews; Mary Alice Nowinski, Gloria Lance, SheriAnn Cherkoski, Mark Wysocki, John Lucas, Aimee Long and Nadine Ferrario. Not to mention many great nieces & nephews he was so proud of.
He was preceded in death by his mother Anne Sherwin Dwyer; father William Dwyer; brother Robert Dwyer.

Those who knew Billy remember him as kind-hearted, loving, and magnetic. He was genuine and greatly loved by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Graveside Burial Mass will be at the convenience of family.

Patricia “Patty” Grenier, of Moscow, died Saturday in Geisinger Community Medical Center.

Born in Poughkeepsie New York, daughter of the late Joseph and Hazel Hayes, she was of the catholic faith, practicing at St. Thomas Moore Church, Lake Ariel. Prior to retirement she was a long time employee in the cafeteria at Wallenpaupack South Elementary School.

Patty enjoyed playing dominos and cards with her ladies club, most important was spending time with her family.

She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren Karen Turpinat and her son Jared; Joseph Grenier and wife Dawn; Pam Grenier and her daughter Amber; Tammy Mills and husband Robert and their children Gabrielle and Cole
