As your doula, I support your personal journey into parenthood. You know what is best for you and your growing family, and it is my honor to respect you and your needs during this time of growth and transition, however it unfolds. Whether you choose a homebirth with a midwife or a hospital bi

rth with an epidural, my intention is to offer you continuous support. I am skilled in helping you manage pain, connect with your own strength and power, and provide you with the emotional support you may need. Additionally, I offer informational support to help you feel confident with your decisions throughout pregnancy, labor and postpartum. I am happy to act as your primary support person or to assist your partner or other loved ones to best support you. As a member of your birth team, I fully respect the role I need to fill- gladly encouraging your partner to show you support with techniques and affirmations, while also taking time to care for themselves so they can be fully present for you and your child.

About Charlotte Brielle ~ Mountain Doula:

I moved to the majestic mountains of Crested Butte, CO, from the much smaller and softer mountains of Asheville, NC, in the fall of 2019. I am now eager to be of service to families in the Gunnison Valley. I am incredibly passionate about maternal health, social justice, and protecting our collective Mother (Earth).

When I am not working, I love exploring the wilderness, making good food, connecting with friends, traveling (in a pre-covid world), adventuring, dismantling white supremacy, and smashing the patriarchy.

I believe that we have been gifted one beautiful precious life and I want to make the most of it.

After months of dreaming, planning, and creating, it’s finally here—the Revolutionary Birthworker Circles are LIVE, and we’re ready to shake things up. This isn’t just another series of classes; this is a movement. An intimate space for birthworkers from all over the world (literally, we already have participants from 4 different continents!) to come together, learn, connect, and rise.

🌀 What to Expect: This six-week online journey is packed with powerful conversations on: ✨ The Anthropology of the Mother ✨ Birth as a Social Justice Issue ✨ Navigating Birthwork as a Business ✨ Supporting Clients Through Grief ✨ Creating Ceremonies and Rituals ✨ Blending Modern Medicine with Traditional Practices

(Post 3/3) I am profoundly grateful to have been present at so many of your births over the years. Every mama and baby I’ve encountered has played a vital role in my growth as a birthworker. Thank you for allowing me to witness your incredible strength and vulnerability during the most joyous and intimate moments of your life.
My aim is to share all this accumulated wisdom with more passionate doulas so that, collectively, we can enhance maternal health outcomes everywhere. Here’s to spreading seeds of knowledge and witnessing the beautiful blooms of empowered birthing experiences around the world! 🌼

🌸 Big Changes and Exciting Adventures Ahead! 🌸
(Post 2/3) In other news, I’ve left the mountains and am now based in Paris, France, where I grew up. The past six months have been a whirlwind of travel, and I’m just getting started. In 2023, we ran five trips (including scouting in India), and for 2024, we’re aiming to offer 12!
We’re currently accepting applications for our programs in Ecuador, where you can learn from indigenous traditional midwives, and in Tanzania, where we lend a helping hand to birthing people in local hospitals. Plus, we’re excited to start new programs in India and Mexico this year! 🌎

Bearing witness to your raw courage, tender vulnerability,
sacred sacrifice, and profound elation.
We marvel at the strength within you,
and the miracle we have the honor of assisting.
We, your birthworkers, bow in reverence to you,
Thanking you for inviting us into your sacred moments of becoming.
We acknowledge the journey of parenthood,
the winding road leading you here,
A path often marked by tumultuous twists,
interwoven with strands of loss and grief,
Echoing the voices of generations past.
In you, we see the brave endeavor of healing the future,

Happy Mother’s Day 💛

~First off, if this holiday is hard for you for whatever reason, please know I’m sending you love.~

I am unbelievably grateful for the relationship I have with my mom. Sometimes I think that all this work I do, to honor and support mothers, is really just a tribute to her. 🥹🥹🥹🥹

She is continuously my strongest and most stable support source. There is no one I laugh harder with. And there is no one else I’ve witnessed with as much creativity, ambition, and spirit.
She taught me young that it is all about love, to believe in angels, and to go for my dreams.

Cheers to you mama. And cheers to all the mamas.

Motherhood is such incredibly hard work. And at the end of the day it doesn’t matter what “stuff” you have and give your children, it’s about showing up for them and being a source they can trust and that loves them unconditionally. Thank you to all the mamas who are raising this next generation. We need you and we need them.

And in the meantime I will do all I can to honor and care for mothers. Because if we don’t take care of the world’s mothers, who will take care of the rest of us?
