Azelaic acid is a tyrosinase inhibitor, which means it helps to even out your skin tone and prevent and treat hyperpigmentation due to conditions like melasma.

A common skin care ingredient that evens skin, treats rosacea, and calms swelling caused by acne.

Azelaic acid is also an antibacterial antioxidant that works to unclog pores, reduce inflammation and treat acne.

It is more mild than other acne-fighting ingredients like salicylic acid and adapalene, making it good for sensitive skin and those who are pregnant.
