Like all activities, we have a fundraising season! This has been our favorite partnership!! Find your favorite scout or comment here if you’d like some delicious LT Farms Snack Mix or Champion Steaks products!

This week the scouts worked on their Bobcat badge - learning the 12 Points of the Scout Law. Grades K-2 had an ariel view map of the church/surroundings and had to find bags with an item relating to each point. This helps work on terrain recognition & map reading, as well! The “bigs”, grades 3-5, practiced setting up a scout tent, and then had to demonstrate it to the “littles”.
We’re in full swing of the fall activities!

We were fortunate enough to learn from the best! The Creston pickleball league took the cub scouts under their wing & taught them the basics of a fun sport for any age. The newly painted courts & nets were fantastic!! A big thank you to Cindy Gomis, Deb Peterson, and Steve Eyburg for all of your patience, encouragement, and help!

Youth grades 5-8 who love basketball, check out the SWCC basketball camp, this fall! It’s a great way to meet players and get involved!

Green Valley State Park will be hosting their annual Trick-or-Treat Night Saturday, October 4 from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. The roads in the campground will be closed by park staff during that time for the safety of all those attending. For more information contact the park office at 641-782-5131.

We didn’t get many pictures, because we were too busy having fun!! A BIG thank you to Creston Troop 129 Boy Scouts for all of their help with our organized chaos on sign up night! A beautiful night, tons of fun, and a beautiful park!
