With the way the economy is going in the US, the more we can lean into self sufficiency the better.

Yesterday, I drove to my friend’s farm to gather nettles. It was raining, so she gathered these for me in advance.

I made nettle soup, inspired by her, and dried a few bunches of leaves for nettle tea.

If you are feeling depleted by the spring energy rise, infused nettle tea has been my answer. I’ve been taking it with raspberry leaf for hormone balance for years. I usually stop when I feel slowed down and rested in the summer.

How are you being resilient & self sufficient during these challenging financial times?

Caution: I did get a tick bite after working with the nettles, so be careful. Spray up with herbal tick spray, check for them and shower after being in the woods in New England this spring.

A free community photo shoot was being offered yesterday by Thr Village Project based in The Nice District in 2nd St. in Turners Falls.

I consulted my model friend Whitley Marshall based in South Beach to come up with some looks.

Unfortunately, the gas prices and late afternoon fatigue after a full day in the woods with friends made me miss the shoot. I thought it would be fun to share the looks anyway.

New photos coming soon when I announce a new business partnership I am forming.

Darling is beginning her saddle training. I hope to ride her this summer for the first time in 9 years. She’s still very teachable.

Both ponies are enjoying grazing on the fresh spring grass. I’m boosting their immune systems, weight and nutrient levels after a rough winter and transition from Colorado to New England. They are strong and adjusting well. They are also very open to connection and are enjoying the equine therapy and their ongoing training and train rides.

Receive the horse medicine Molly and Darling provide.
