God’s design has always been FOR your body, not against it.

Movement, strength, discipline, and rest were never meant to become punishment or proof of worth.

Just like the Sabbath, fitness was meant to serve you, not enslave you.

“The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.” Mark 2:27

So as we step into 2026, here’s what we’re leaving behind, and what we’re choosing instead at 4:8

As we step into a new year, I keep coming back to this simple truth:

We are not forgotten. We are not left behind.

God reminds us in Isaiah 49:15 that even if the most dependable human love were to falter, He never will.
And in Luke 10, Jesus gently calls us away from anxiety and back to the one thing that is truly necessary - His presence.

So instead of striving harder this year, I’m choosing a different posture.

My word for 2026: Presence.

Presence with God.

Presence with my family.

Presence in my body.

Presence in the work God has actually given me today.

Here’s the prayer I’m carrying into this new year:

Lord,
Teach me to trust that I am not forgotten;
not in my exhaustion,
not in my ambition,
not in my humanity.
Help me to choose what is necessary over what is merely pressing.
To work diligently without anxiety.
To rest without guilt.
To be fully present where my feet & hands are.
Strengthen my body, steady my mind, and soften my heart.
Order my priorities and anchor me in Your truth; anchor me in YOU, Lord.
May this year be marked not by striving,
but by faithful presence with You and with those You’ve entrusted to me.
Amen.

If you’re heading into this year feeling stretched thin, this is your reminder: God sees you, holds you, and invites you to rest in Him.

Happy New Year 🩵🩷

Pelvic health PT is for YOU

The coordination of your diaphragm, core and pelvic floor is foundational to how you move, lift, run, carry, birth, heal, and age well. And it’s why pelvic health physical therapy isn’t “just for postpartum” or “only if something is wrong.”

*****Pelvic health PT is for *every* woman, during multiple seasons of life.*****

🩵 Before or at First Me**es
Early education matters. Learning what’s normal, what’s not, how the pelvic floor works, and how breathing and posture influence pain, cramps, bladder habits, and bowel health sets young women up with body literacy, not fear or silence.

🩵During Pregnancy
Pregnancy changes pressure, posture, breathing mechanics, and load. Pelvic health PT helps:
• prepare the pelvic floor for birth
• manage back, hip, and pelvic pain
• improve breathing and pressure management
• reduce fear by understanding what’s happening in your body

🩵 Postpartum
Birth is a major physical event. Even when it’s “uncomplicated.”
Pelvic PT supports:
• healing of muscles, nerves, and connective tissue
• scar mobility and sensation
• bladder and bowel function
• safe return to movement, lifting, and exercise

🩵 During sports, strength training, and weight lifting
Leaking, pressure, pain, or fear during workouts isn’t a badge of honor. It’s a signal.
Strong isn’t just how much you lift, it’s how well your system works together.

🩵During Perimenopause & Menopause
Hormonal changes affect tissue quality, recovery, and coordination. Symptoms may show up as:
• bladder changes
• pelvic heaviness
• pain with intimacy
• core instability or back pain
Pelvic health PT helps adapt your movement, breathing, and strength training so you can continue living fully, not quietly shrinking your life.

At every stage, it comes back to this: your pelvic floor does not work alone, and pelvic health PT exists for YOU - to educate, to support, to prevent, and to restore.

Not just when you’re struggling.
But so you can live, move, and thrive - long term.

Education is care. Prevention is powerful. And your body is worth understanding.
