Les was born on November 12, 1966, in Crestview, Florida, to Rochella Hope and Walon Busbee. A lifelong resident of the area, Les built a life rooted in hard work, faith, and deep connections to family and friends.

For many years, Les worked in construction as a drywall installer, a trade he took great pride in. He attended Beaver Creek Baptist Church in Baker, Florida. Les found joy in the simple pleasures of life—saltwater fishing, walking along the beach, and spending time near the ocean. He had a lifelong passion for NASCAR and proudly collected Dale Earnhardt memorabilia throughout the years.

Above all else, Les cherished time spent with his family and friends. He had a warm spirit, an easy smile, and a heart that welcomed everyone. His coworkers became some of his closest friends, standing beside him with unwavering love and support throughout his cancer journey.

True to his character, Les faced his diagnosis with courage and determination. For 18 months, he fought with strength, refused to let fear define him, and remained positive, never allowing his illness to dampen his spirit.

Les was preceded in death by his parents, Rochella Hope and Walon Busbee.

He is survived by his two sons, Ryan Busbee (Haleigh) and Joshua Campbell (Amber); his brother, Randall Busbee (Cathy); his sister, Tonya Busbee Henderson; his beloved granddaughter, Whitley Busbee; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service.
In Lieu of Flowers the family gratefully accepts memorial contributions to help with funeral arrangements, which may be made through Brackney Funeral Service.

Les will be remembered for his strength, kindness, love of life, and the deep devotion he had for those he loved. His memory will live on through all who were blessed to know him.
