Don't forget to check out BeachWatch before heading out on the lakes/beaches this holiday weekend! 🚤🏄

Although no lakes in our district are on "health alert" there is an elevated E.coli level at Bluestem Lake.

Did you know that ingesting water contaminated with E.coli (f***l matter) can increase your risk of exposure to pathogens that can cause gastrointestinal discomfort, skin rashes, and eye and ear infections?

Because bacteria values change quickly, beaches are not closed for high bacteria levels. However, it's good information to know so you can make your own decision on whether to use the lakes or not. 🚫

Good reminder to watch those little ones around fireworks!

In 2022, children younger than 15 years of age accounted for 28% of firework related injuries. With the 4th of July right around the corner, it’s best to leave the celebratory light shows to the experts. Whether its sparklers or firecrackers, kids should not play with or ignite fireworks. Swap sparklers for glowsticks and head out to your local firework display for some family fun!
