Happy Sabbath!!

The flowers are in a bit of a lull. They are exhausted from the last couple weeks of putting on a show, so they are patiently waiting for the rain to replenish them.

You sent abundant rain, O God,
to refresh the weary land.

Philip got in on the action and made the first zinnia bouquet. He’s a wonderful kid who likes all things colorful.

Happy Sabbath!!

I’m not always sure what I’m thinking when I plant all these flowers but I now have an abundance of flowers…so many to cut and make bouquets out of.

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

Happy Sabbath!

It was raining this morning so pictures had to be taken indoors. The rain is a wonderful thing for all the flowers and plants.

Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime; it is the Lord who sends the thunderstorms. He gives showers of rain to all people, and plants in the field to everyone. Zachariah 10:1

The boys always love the yellow vase with the smiley face. A smile or cheerful face always seems to be a bit contagious so spread a smile today.

I wasn’t sure I was going to have any flowers for this week but God provided plenty. I might even have enough for a couple more bouquets.

My little wagon of flowers turned into three bouquets with a little bit of work.

Happy Sabbath!!

I needed to brave the mosquitoes to cut these bouquets. For those of you who live in Northeast Wisconsin, you know I now need a blood transfusion! LOL! Sometimes you just need to be courageous. The irises right now amazing and I couldn’t wait to get some bouquets of them.

Happy Sabbath!!

If you look close at the bouquets, the smaller one has white honeysuckle and the bigger has pink honeysuckle. The white grows in the shade and the pink flowers in the sun. I can have both colors on a bush depending on where it is growing. The pink bushes are much larger and fuller than those that grow in the shade. We are much like the honeysuckle. If we are growing in the sunlight of God’s word, we are more likely to reach our greatest potential.
