Healthy Futures Pulaski County

Healthy Futures Pulaski County Community coalition that serves to encourage and equip individuals to improve their health. Through programs such as our A.C.T.I.V.E.

Who we are...

Healthy Futures Pulaski County is an action-oriented community coalition that serves to encourage the residents of Pulaski County to invest in their health by adopting healthy lifestyles, thereby creating a healthier community. Kids (Adolescents Committed To Improvement Via Exercise) , the HFPC hopes to teach elementary and middle school children the importance of adopting an exerci

se regimen at at a young age. This program is not only designed to get kids up and moving but to adopt healthy eating and study habits as well. The goal of the HFPC through the A.C.T.I.V.E Kids program is to promote all around wellness to the student. Emphasizing how discipline on the racecourse can lead to discipline in the classroom, the program serves to motivate and encourage children to develop discipline by showing how crucial it is to their success both now and in the future. As part of our A.C.T.I.V.E (Adults Committed To Improvement Via Exercise) adults program, the HFPC works to inspire people of every age (especially those over 50) to adopt an healthy lifestyle that includes regular physical fitness and healthy eating. We have many programs to educate and equip the citizens of our county to eat well and exercise including:

- Couch to 5k eight-week training programs

- Free monthly family 5k run/walks in partnership with Security Bank and the Frog Fitness Group

- Year-round aqua running classes

- Group training runs every Saturday

-Frog Hill Half Marathon/10k and the Leapfrog 5k

- Racing for Daylight Ultra

- Ultra Sweaty Santa - Christmas in July Run/Walk/Bike/Ruck

- Bad Dawg Ultra 50k/50mile/100k/100mile/12mile

- 15toFit, 45toFit and 60toVictory programs and education

- OneSolePurpose project

The coalition is always looking for like-minded individuals that share the vision of making our county as healthy as it can be by working and serving alongside one another to achieve that goal.

And it was a great turnout for the Run to Remember Memorial Day 2026 run/walk/bike/ruck hosted in partnership with the FFG - F.R.O.G. FITNESS GROUP and TEAM RWB-FLW. The event began with a wear blue: run to remember Circle of Remembrance and then we headed out to Missouri Veterans Cemetary to honor the fallen. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸HOKA

*Just a reminder… At 3:00 p.m. local time on Memorial Day, all Americans are asked to participate in the National Moment of Remembrance by pausing for one minute to reflect on and honor those who died in service to the United States. The time is specifically chosen to take place when most people are enjoying the freedoms that service members fought to protect.
