We are proud to recognize Jon as the winner of our quarterly Heart of Heartwood award, given to a team member who exemplifies one of our CROSS Values through their actions, attitude, and commitment to our Heartwood community.
Jon was nominated for his exceptional dedication and leadership on the night shift in the care center — and his impact is felt by residents, coworkers, and supervisors alike.
💛 Why Jon was nominated:
Jon consistently goes above and beyond. He leads the night shift with confidence, steadiness, and a solution focused mindset, even during challenging moments. While working full-time, he has willingly picked up extra shifts to support both residents and fellow team members whenever they’ve needed it most.
He is a strong advocate for our residents, always prioritizing dignity, autonomy, and well-being. Jon keeps communication flowing by proactively sharing updates and ensuring supervisors are informed of any changes overnight. He also lifts up those around him — regularly recognizing the efforts of his co workers and celebrating their contributions. Did we mention that Jon has been a dedicated nurse for 49+ years!!! WOW!
Jon’s commitment, compassion, teamwork, and leadership truly embody the heart of who we are at Heartwood.
