This is the metabolic marker I look at first. Every time. Without exception.

And it is sitting right there on your standard, lipid panel, the one your doctor already ran.

Here’s how to read it:

🧮Take your triglycerides. Divide by your HDL. That number tells you a lot.

Below 1 — metabolically flexible. Goal.
1 to 2 — healthy range
2 to 3 — early insulin resistance
3 to 5 — metabolic dysfunction
Above 5 — significant cardiovascular risk

your triglycerides rise when your liver is converting excess sugar into fat. Your HDL falls when insulin stays elevated. So that ratio becomes a window into your insulin sensitivity years before anything else shows up.

You’ve already paid for those labs. You deserve to know everything that they are telling you.

Go listen 🎧 to this week’s podcast episode for the full picture, linked in bio.

🧐 Not exactly, metabolically, ALT is one of the first things I check. Here’s why.

👉 Your liver is the first place excess sugar gets stored as fat. Before blood sugar becomes a problem, before any diagnosis, before symptoms are obvious — ALT usually starts to rise first.

Standard lab ranges call anything up to 40 or even 56 normal.

But metabolically, here is what I want to see:
🟢 10 to 20 — ideal
🟡 20 to 30 — early metabolic stress
🔴 30 plus — fatty liver likely
📲 45 plus — we need to talk now

So you could have an ALT of 38, your doctor says you’re fine, and your liver is already under significant metabolic stress.

1️⃣ Go pull your last CMP — that’s your Complete Metabolic Panel.
2️⃣ Find your ALT. Drop your number below. 👇

And if you want to know what else is hiding in your standard labs, comment work and I’ll send it your way. 🩷

Ladies (and those that have ladies in their life) 🩷

Lifting weights that weigh less than your grocery bags or your kiddo or your yeti is not building muscle. And it will set you up for failure later in life and in menopause specifically.

If your Metabolic Scorecard is “off” in the yellow or red - it is directly related to the amount of muscle you have on your body.

If your goal is just to “lower inflammation”…
you’re aiming at the wrong target. 🎯

Inflammation is not the root problem (and neither are your labs) 👉 It’s your body’s response to something deeper.

In response to inflammation - I see people
👉cut foods
👉add supplements - so many supplements
👉try to “calm inflammation”

…and it works temporarily sometimes, but it doesn’t last, because your not addressing the trigger.

Here’s what I see clinically:

Inflammation is usually being driven by a pattern like:

👉blood sugar instability
👉circadian disruption
👉metabolic stress

🔬 Even your labs will reflect this:

👉CRP starts creeping up
👉ALT moves out of optimal range
👉triglycerides rise

These are some of the earliest obvious signals.

And frankly - they aren’t something to suppress…they are clues, something to understand and investigate.

📖 This is exactly why I focus on patterns first.

When you remove the reason your body is creating inflammation…

👉 inflammation resolves naturally.

If this makes sense and you see yourself in this pattern. don’t miss tomorrow’s podcast on the Root Cause Revolution 🩷

I can usually tell what’s going on before a client finishes explaining their symptoms.

Not because I’ve “seen it all” and certainly not because I know it all - I’m constantly learning.

👉 But because your body follows patterns.

And once you know what to look for…
it becomes very predictable.

Most of the women I work with tell me the same things:

“I’ve tried everything and nothing works.”
“I feel like I’m doing everything right.”
“My labs are normal but I don’t feel fine.”
“My doctor says this is just part of aging.”

I know it is frustrating.

There are a handful of metabolic patterns driving the majority of symptoms I see:

👉inflammation that won’t resolve
👉blood sugar instability (even with “normal” labs)
👉circadian disruption

The moment you stop chasing individual symptoms…and labels…you can finally make progress.

I have a secret 🤫

I can predict your symptoms, typically before you even finish talking about what you’re experiencing. 🔮

I’m not psychic, and I’m not guessing…
I’m connecting the dots and looking for patterns.

Most of the women I work with tell me the same things:

“I’ve tried everything and nothing works.”
“I feel like I’m doing everything right.”
“My labs are normal but I don’t feel fine.”
“My doctor says this is just part of aging.”

Here’s one thing for sure - it’s not random and it’s not aging. It typically fits into 1 of 3 metabolic patterns I see on repeat.

If you want to see which pattern you might be in…

I see this all the time.
People doing all the "right" things and not getting results.

And sometimes they move on to easy button type solutions because they feel like they are stuck. 💉

The root of the problem is that these folks are missing the simple foundation of:
👉 light
👉 sleep
👉 circadian rhythm
👉 meal timing

These things aren't optional. These are the control system of your human suit. When they are misaligned, you cannot force your body into health. But when they are aligned - things start to shift quickly.

Some people have a food problem, yes.

Most people have a SIGNAL problem.

You can eat:
👉clean
👉high protein
👉low carb
👉whole foods
and still be stuck.

Why? Because your metabolism isn't controlled by food input alone.

Its controlled by:
💡your light environment
💤 your sleep quality
☀️ your circadian rhythm
⌚️ your meal timing

Food matters, of course. But it is NOT the control center and it is often easier to manage when you fix the environment first.

A 46-year-old client was given 30 days.

CRP 36.6
Cholesterol 288

Medication was next.

Thirty days later?

CRP dropped to 0.8.
A 97% reduction.

We didn’t change what she ate.
We changed when her body experienced food.

Her body wasn’t broken.
It was responding.

If your labs don’t match how you feel…
there’s more to the story.
