Our Legacy Court community held a small and intimate Veterans Day ceremony today, honoring each veteran and each spouse in attendance. Moments Hospice joined us in support—and even brought cake to share! We reflected together with stories, moments of silence, and a beautiful live performance of Taps by Abi Swenson. What a truly remarkable and meaningful ceremony. 🇺🇸❤️

🍷 Cheers to Year Two!
Today we hosted our Second Annual Wine Tasting and it was such a wonderful afternoon! Half of our wine selection was generously donated by residents and families, and several bottles were special wins from a recent conference.

There were stories shared, plenty of laughs, delicious snacks courtesy of Moments Hospice, and wines of all kinds to taste and enjoy.

A big thank-you to our amazing team and volunteers for making this event so fun and memorable. Until next year—cheers! 🍇✨

🇺🇸 Honoring Our Veterans at Whitefish 🇺🇸
Today, we proudly welcomed American Legion Post 500 Color Guard, St. Croix Hospice, and our community as we celebrated Veterans Day. We recognized the 250th birthdays of the U.S. Army and Marine Corps, enjoyed a sing-along of God Bless the USA, honored our resident veterans by name, and paused for a moment of silence during Taps.
We are grateful to our veterans, their spouses, and families for their courage and sacrifice.
We ended the afternoon with piano music and a pie social shared with friends and neighbors. 🥧🎹

Yesterday in Legacy Court we started off our morning with a little word game called Blurt. 🃏 I give them a clue and the residents blurt out the answer. Then a few of the residents joined in on some chair exercises before lunch. 🏋️‍♂️

A fun activity today...testing our residents on their knowledge of apples. 🍎🍏. First we talked about the apple, then they sampled the apple, and lastly had to figure out what apple they were eating given the description and taste. We sampled 8 apples but the quiz showed 12. 📝 A little tricky. Our winner, Judy with 5 out of the 8 apples correct,!! What do you think her prize was? An apple and an apple pie!!! 🍎🥧🍏

Yesterday the Whitefish bus headed south to Baxter for lunch and shopping.

Our first stop...lunch at the brand new Kwik Trip!! 🥪. We were greeted by the store manager Troy. Each of our residents received a complimentary take home meal and a donut. 🍩 And some also took advantage of a free loaf of bread and a pound of bananas. 🍞 🍌

Then off to Common Goods second hand store where the residents found a few new treasures! 👚 🥿 🖼️

And finally a stop at Salvage Sisters repurposed store where we found some unique gifts! 📿 🧩 Thank you to Mitch for the licorice!!

Yesterday we headed over to Grand Casino Mille Lacs where 9 of our residents spent their day trying their luck on the machines, enjoying lunch together, and ending their day with free ice cream!!! 🎰🥪🍨
