Croton On Hudson Emergency Medical Services Croton-on-Hudson Emergency Medical Services provides ambulance service to the Village of Croton

Croton-on-Hudson Emergency Medical Services is a volunteer organization, assisted by Paid Staffing. That means that although there is always one paid EMT/Driver on duty 24/7, they require a volunteer EMT or Driver to complete a crew. Much of the time, the Paid staff does not need to crew the ambulance, due to the presence to of a volunteer EMT and Driver.

Thank you to the Village for recognizing our top responders! It meant more to us than you know!

Last evening, members of the Village Board presented the top responders at Croton EMS with certificates of recognition for their service to the community. In 2025, Croton EMS responded to more than 1,000 calls for service and each of the top responders answered at least 50 of those calls!

During the 36 hours our crews stood by during the storm Croton EMS responded to 7 requests for assistance. Of those requests 1 was dispatched with FD assistance. We want to thank Croton on Hudson Fire Department with their assistance as they made sure our crew had a clear path to the ambulance prior to us transporting the patient to the ER.

With the start of a new year, we’re excited to launch a new series spotlighting our spectacular members! Tune into our social media each week to get to know the volunteers who dedicate endless hours to keeping our village safe.

To start off our year we are proud to feature our fantastic Captain Tiffany Gilleo. Tiffany is now entering her second year as Captain after two years as lieutenant and 6 years as a very active general member. When she’s not serving our town as an EMT and driver, she works as a one to one Special Education Aide for the Hendrick Hudson school district. In her free time she enjoys riding horses and painting. Fun fact Tiffany is originally from South Lyon Michigan where she was crowned the Michigan Buckskin Queen in 2004!

We look forward to all the amazing things that Tiffany will do in her second year as Captain and we thank her for everything she has done thus far!

In 2025, Croton EMS responded to 1012 calls for service. Of this number, 891 were calls within our primary service district, and the remaining 121 were mutual aid calls to assist our neighboring EMS agencies in their districts.

In additional to responding to 911 calls, your Croton EMS volunteers donated nearly 13,000 additional hours of their time between On-Duty shifts, sporting event standbys for Croton-Harmon Schools, community event standbys for Village of Croton-on-Hudson Government, training, meetings and administrative work, and a lot of housekeeping and moving into our beautiful and functional new station.

In additional to our dedicated volunteer membership, Croton EMS would like to thank our very close colleagues at the Croton-on-Hudson Police Department, our fellow volunteers at Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department, and the volunteers, the tri-community paramedics, and staff at Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

Interested in joining or learning more about Croton EMS? Reach out to us at membership@crotonemsinc.org or info@crotonemsinc.org! We would love to show you what we are all about.

We wish everyone a healthy, prosperous, and safe new year.
