🌟 Crowell Nursing Center – Senior Spotlight 🌟
Barbara Smith – 91 Years Young
One of Barbara’s earliest memories is spending time with her dad, who was a carpenter. She always wished she had learned the trade herself. She loved watching him create beautiful things out of wood and says it was fascinating to see what he could make with his hands. It’s safe to say she was definitely a daddy’s girl.
If Barbara could give the younger generation any advice, it would be to take your time before choosing your mate. Get to know him, learn about his family, and don’t be in a hurry.
The values that have always guided Barbara through life are good health and surrounding yourself with wonderful friends and family.
One of the happiest moments of her life was when her son was born. She truly didn’t think she would have any more children. Shane was born when she was 35, and her youngest was graduating high school at the time. Barbara says she truly loved raising all of her children.
We are so proud to have Barbara as part of the Crowell Nursing Center family. Her stories, wisdom, and kind heart make our community even more special!
