We will be celebrating our National Assisted Living next week and we would love for everyone to join us on Wednesday, Sep. 10th from 9am-11am for our “50’s Sock Hop Day”! So, dust off your poodle skirts and slick your hair back as we step back in time to celebrate the golden age of rock ‘n’ roll. Enjoy a day filled with music, delicious lemonade made fresh from The Local Lemon and a vintage car show that will transport you straight to the fabulous 50’s!

Our resident of the month for August is Mrs. Audrey Hoffpauir.
Mrs. Audrey has been with us for 3 years. She enjoys spending her time along side her husband, especially when it comes to the garden. She says she is the “Water Girl”! When not participating in activities, she can be found enjoying her time sitting in her recliner playing solitaire. Congratulations on being chosen as our Resident of the Month!

Our Employee of the month for August is Raymonda Collette Andrus!
Collette is one of our Resident Attendants here at The Acadian at Southwind and has been with us for three years. She is a hard and dedicated worker. She always goes above and beyond her duties. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and going to church. Thank you, Collette, we appreciate everything that you do! Congratulations on being chosen as Employee of the Month.

Took a lunch trip to Cracker Barrel in Lafayette today. We enjoyed some delicious food, had some good laughs and even faced off with the Triangle Game!

They also added something a little special for Ms. Johnnie whose birthday was this past Monday.

Big thanks to Bayou Rum Distillery for hosting our residents! They had a blast touring the distillery, learning all about how rum is made, and even did rum tasting. Cheers to new experiences and good spirits! Then we headed over to Gattis for lunch!

We had an awesome morning during craft time! We unleashed our creativity and learned how to make adorable no-sew pillows. It was amazing to see everyone's unique designs come to life. A big thanks to all who participated and made it such a fun and crafty day! 🪡✂️
