Mr. Dalton Newman has been with us for 4 months. He recently retired from 42 plus years working as an educator for a plethora of schools and colleges. In his free time, Mr. Dalton enjoys spending time with his lovely wife. With a deep interest in baseball, Mr. Dalton continued to play recreationally until 73 years old. Congratulations, Mr. Dalton, on being named our Resident of the Month for November! Thank you for making The Acadian your home—we are so happy that you are here.

Today, we extend our deepest gratitude to the veterans residing here at The Acadian at Southwind. Your service and sacrifice have protected our freedoms and shaped our nation. We honor your courage, remember your stories, and thank you for your unwavering dedication. We celebrated these heroes and showed our appreciation for their service with food, fun and fellowship.

We were so excited to have the St. Michael School Pre-K4 students here with us today. They brought Halloween cheer while singing their songs and the residents loved seeing them dressed as the cutest little scarecrows. They even sang Happy Birthday to Ms. Pearl (maw-maw), one of our residents who's birthday was today.

🎃 Sweet moments and candy 🍫 at The Acadian at Southwind this afternoon! Our residents had a blast handing out candy and seeing all the adorable trick-or-treaters. Their smiles and laughter made it a truly special Halloween for everyone. ❤️👻 Thank you to everyone who came out and made this an unforgettable afternoon.

In preparation of Rice Festival Week, our residents took a stroll downtown to Rice Palace to enjoy a delicious lunch!!
