We rang in the New Year the best way we know how — with fun foods, lots of laughter, and the company of some of our favorite friends and family. Celebrations like these remind us how special community truly is, and we’re so grateful to start a brand-new year surrounded by love, joy, and familiar faces. 🥳

Cold days call for comfort food and good company! ❄️🍔

Today we bundled up and headed out to Frostos Diner for a cozy meal with some of our residents. Laughter was shared, bellies were filled, and memories were made.

This outing also marks our last planned outing of the year, and what a sweet way to wrap things up. We’re so thankful for moments like these and for the smiles they bring to our resident’s faces.

Thank you, Frosto, for always making us feel so welcome!

🎄❤️ Christmas Family Night ❤️🎄

What a truly special evening celebrating the season with our residents and their families! Our Christmas Family Night was filled with joy, laughter, and togetherness. We enjoyed delicious gumbo cooked by the best administrator, cake by Lamm Home Health & Hospice, festive music by Bubba Hebert and Alfred Doucet, and lots of holiday cheer all around. 🎶🍲

Santa and Mrs. Claus stopped by with gifts, along with our very own elves, bringing smiles to everyone in the room. It was such a fun and heartwarming night, and we are so grateful to everyone who helped make it magical for our residents and their loved ones. 🎅🎁✨

Memories like these are what the season is all about!

Congratulations to our admissions coordinator, Angelique Credeur, on being selected as this year’s alumni of the year!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏

Today, we are so excited to announce our 2025 Alumni of the Year: Angelique Credeur!

Angelique is a 2013 graduate of Leadership EXCEL and someone who truly embodies what this program is all about; service, leadership, community, and heart. If you know Angelique, you know she shows up. Whether she’s supporting families in her role with Southwind and Encore Healthcare & Rehab, planning major community events, or lending her time to countless boards and organizations, she pours so much of herself into Acadia Parish.

A few highlights of Angelique’s impact:
• 18 years serving families through healthcare admissions and outreach
• Current board member for KDJ (Historian), Crowley Rotary, and SoLACC
• Chairman of the Crowley Christmas Parade and Crowley Dancing with the Stars in a Caring Way
• Former President of Crowley Rotary (102nd!), past board member for both the Crowley Chamber and the Acadia Parish Chamber, former BPW President, and longtime volunteer in community revitalization efforts
• Former small-business owner and corporate trainer
• And of course—devoted mom to Bryce, Brock, and Grayson and fiance' to Bobby!

Angelique is one of those people whose leadership shows up in both big and small ways. She leads with kindness, shows up with enthusiasm, and has a heart for helping others. Her dedication to her community is unmatched, and she is so deserving of this recognition.

We can’t wait to celebrate Angelique—and our graduating 2025 Leadership EXCEL class—at our ceremony on December 10th!

Today was an emotional but joyful day as we celebrated Mr. Kenneth and his incredible journey from rehab to home. His hard work, determination, and positive spirit have inspired all!!!

While we will surely miss him, we are so proud of how far he has come and excited for this next chapter. 💙
