Think of it like trying to walk straight while climbing up a mountain.

It is literally impossible.

It's the same idea as trying to be in two places at the same time.

This is also impossible.

Regulating your nervous system is the greatest gift you can give yourself.

Do you know what happens when others love you and care about you even when you are not able to feel it?

You get little messages that it is possible to experience these feelings again.

One day you will. It may be different than before but it can be.

For some, you may only experience this with a therapist.

For other, it may be a friend or family that shows up consistently.

Trying to not let your past break you and also working to find balance?

Trying to become a better version of you, keeping the parts you like about yourself, and working through the hurt, trauma and pain will have you in the best place possible.

It is natural to want to start over.

But completely starting over means losing touch with your entire self.

Pain doesn't make you stronger.

It does make you a better survivor though.

Feeling like you can't function?

This can come in waves quickly or slowly. There can be ups and downs. At the end, you are trying to manage and survive but are not living.

Trauma can effect you in deep ways across the many areas of your life.

Overcompensating comes from a very deep place as well. Trying to achieve perfection is impossible.

Learning skills to achieve the perfectly imperfect life will help you feel more rooted.

It is common to fit the profile of having difficulty setting boundaries, receiving them, being able to formulize thoughts, feelings, opinions and mostly believing in yourself after experiencing trauma.

When you feel the world is flying by you, where do you end up?

I hope you land in a good spot.

But, it's up to you to decide the path.

Some paths have you travel extra, headed in a direction you need to turn around from.

When you make short term decisions, it becomes part of your long term decision as well.

If you feel overwhelmed with needing to make short term decisions, there are tools to help you.

You can try to think of how your decision or lack of will feel to you two weeks after.

Do some grounding so you can feel calmer and here equipped for decision making.

Think of it like a ferris wheel.

Do you forget self care?

Are there consequences from work?

Wedges created in relationships?

I know it can be hard to get everything done when there is always so much to do.

Having your negative emotions you need to address in addition to the daily struggles, can effect you getting to everything as well.

If you only focus on one priority, there can be anxiety and feelings of not being productive coming along with this.

Always do your best.

Put time into your calender daily.

Once you have that set time and you are mentally prepared, it will be easier to focus.
