Story time. It feels like it was my 40 th birthday that this platysmal band popped! It wasn't... now that I look back but it was damn close to it! 😅 Honestly tho I look back and it was Easter of last year that I saw this big gross band popping whenever I smiled hard aka real 😃. So the other day botox saved the day and now it's maybe day 4 or 5 and she is gone and the pull down of my neck is gone! The platysmal band is part of the platysmal muscle, thin sheet of muscle that runs from the mandible to the collarbone helping pull the corners of the mouth down and outward during expressions. When you clench your jaw or smile widely it tightens and can pop. As we age, it loses it tone and elasticity and starts to separate in the midline of the neck those separated edges become the bands. If you have less fat covering them you will see this younger . This is an on label injection for Botox to correct So if you find yourself silently hating this on yourself give Mirage a call!

So the Board has been either implementing the law or clarifying the muddy water or removing services that Estheticians can perform in the State of Indiana. They can not manipulate the hair- meaning no more brow lamination services or lash lifts and tints and have removed their abilities to micro needle in the state of Indiana . What do you all think about this happening? Thoughts?
