🎃 This Halloween, Let’s Make It Sensory-Friendly for Everyone! 👻

Halloween is a night filled with fun, costumes, and candy, but for some children, especially those with autism, it can also bring sensory challenges 💙

As you open your doors to trick-or-treaters this year, here are a few gentle reminders that can make a big difference:

🧡 Some children may not say “trick or treat” — and that’s okay! They might communicate in other ways or prefer not to speak at all.

💛 Costumes might look different — some kids may wear headphones or choose comfy clothes instead of traditional costumes.

💚 Loud noises, flashing lights, or big crowds can be overwhelming. A calm, patient smile goes a long way.

💙 Be kind, be patient, and celebrate each child’s participation — whatever that looks like for them!

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Christian Hickman, BCBA 🌟

We’re excited to shine this week’s spotlight on Christian Hickman, one of our incredible Board-Certified Behavior Analysts here at Majestic Care ABA!

With nearly a decade of experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, Christian has dedicated his career to supporting children with autism across a variety of settings — from residential treatment programs and specialized school environments to clinic-based early intervention programs.

At Majestic Care ABA, Christian’s favorite part of his work is collaborating with a passionate and dedicated team that shares his commitment to improving the lives of children and families. 💙

When he’s not making a difference through ABA, Christian enjoys spending time with his wife and their “home zoo”—three cats and three dogs—and they’re thrilled to be welcoming a daughter soon! 🐾 🩷
