All classes start again this week starting with Buggy Fit at 9.45 am at South Park.

Don't forget to book your place on Buggy- Less boot camp on Saturday morning. The class will be adapted to suit all levels of fitness and ability. Non mums are welcome too!

It's Women's Health Wednesday! Have you ever wondered which is better - cooked vs. raw - for certain veggies? I've got answers courtesy of Rosa Chahine and the Integrative Pelvic Health Institute!
ROSA'S RESEARCH:
-Steaming asparagus ignites its cancer-fighting potential.
-Cooking beets results in 25 % loss of folate.
-Heating broccoli or watercress deactivates myrosinase, which is an enzyme that helps cleanse the liver of carcinogens.
-Heating mushrooms in any way brings out the potassium, which is muscle building.
-Red peppers loose vitamin C when heated above 375 degrees.
-Cooking spinach allows you to absorb more of the calcium, iron and magnesium.
-Heating tomatoes allows your body to absorb more of the cancer fighting lycopene, but it also decreases their vitamin C content!
-Absorption of beta-carotene is improved when carrots are lightly steamed.
-Chopping garlic and allowing it to rest before frying promotes cancer-fighting enzymes.
