Established in 1973 out of a double-wide trailer on Tilghman Street in Chester, ChesPenn Health Services (CPHS) has been a staple for quality healthcare for decades regardless of insurance, employment, or immigration status. Today, CPHS has locations across southeastern Pennsylvania with locations in Chester, Upper Darby, and Coatesville. Our mission is to provide comprehensive primary and preventive care and social services to medically underserved families and individuals regardless of their ability to pay. We strive to meet the unique health needs of the communities we serve in linguistically and culturally competent ways. CPHS offers a full range of high-quality, primary health care services to both children and adults at all locations. Primary and emergency dental care is currently only provided in our Coatesville and Chester locations. Current CPHS patients also have access to behavioral health care, health education, and social services. As a Community Health Center, CPHS strives to provide quality, affordable healthcare to everyone in the community. This is why CPHS accepts Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and offers a sliding fee scale option to uninsured patients. CPHS staff members strive for compassion, teamwork, integrity, quality, and inclusion. We envision thriving communities where everyone has access to quality, affordable healthcare, and health disparities have been eliminated.

ChesPenn’s President & CEO, Susan Harris McGovern was pleased to join Shelley Riser, President & CEO of the PA Association of Community Health Centers in presenting US Senator John Fetterman (PA) with the Distinguished Community Health Center Advocate Award in D.C. on December 4th while Caroline Shaffer, Legislative Assistant to the Senator looks on. Ms. Harris McGovern was in D.C. for the day with other FQHC leaders from across the nation advocating for continuing health center support from our federal legislators.
