Since 1996, FHPC has provided healthcare to the uninsured in McHenry County.

OUR VISION: Over the next ten years, the Family Health Partnership Clinic will assure that the residents of the McHenry County area will enjoy the benefit of full access to high quality health care, regardless of the ability to pay, by offering multiple sites throughout our community to adequately meet those needs. The Clinic operates on a sliding fee scale, although no patient is turned away due to inability to pay. At registration, patients will be asked to provide some proof of income.

During FY25, Illinois’ Free and Charitable Clinics once again proved that compassionate care is also cost-effective care:

📈 $29.4 million in medical care provided to 40,000+ patients
🏥 $36 million saved through diverted emergency department visits
🙌 3,000 volunteers donated 150,000 hours of service—worth $5 million in care!

From medical and dental professionals to translators and administrators, this incredible volunteer-powered model continues to fill critical gaps in healthcare access—all while saving the system millions.

💙 A legacy of impact.

We were honored to welcome Vince Foglia and his son, Vinnie, to Family Health Partnership Clinic yesterday. They met with our Director of Clinical Operations, Jay, Executive Director, Suzanne, and Nurse Practitioner, Cheryl, to talk about the complex health challenges many of our patients face every day.

Vince’s lead gift for a brand new clinic was transformational—it gave us a permanent home and made FHPC truly accessible to all in our community. That investment continues to open doors to life-saving care, regardless of a patient’s ability to pay.

From preventive screenings to managing chronic illness, every visit, every diagnosis, and every moment of hope is built on the foundation Vince helped create.

A huge THANK YOU to the amazing Nunda Community Gardeners, (Peggy & Judy representing here!) who just delivered their biggest haul of the season so far — 167 pounds of fresh, homegrown produce for our patients at FHPC! 💚🌱

Access to nutritious food is a vital part of staying healthy, and thanks to generous gardeners like Nunda Community Garden, we’re able to offer our patients more than just medical care — we’re offering dignity, wellness and nourishment.

This partnership is what community health truly looks like.

💖👩🏾‍⚕️💫 A Moment That Melted Our Hearts 💫👩🏾‍⚕️💖

Meet Miguel, one of our patients at FHPC who brought a very special gift for our amazing NP, Rhonda—a physician Barbie, just like her! 🩺💗

But he didn’t stop there. Miguel opened the box and even cut the Barbie’s hair to match Rhonda’s signature style—because he sees her, appreciates her and wanted her to see herself reflected in a gift full of love and admiration.

Moments like this are what FHPC is all about: real relationships, dignity, connection and care that goes far beyond medicine.

Thank you, Miguel, for reminding us that the impact of our work is felt deeply—and sometimes, in the form of a tiny, thoughtful doll.

This month, we’re shining a light on the critical work that Free and Charitable Clinics do in the community. But it is volunteer providers that help make our mission possible—like Physical Therapist Jerry Sullivan, one of our dedicated volunteer providers at Family Health Partnership Clinic.

Jerry donates his time and expertise to help our uninsured patients manage pain, improve mobility, and get back to doing the things they love—without the burden of cost standing in their way.

In a healthcare system full of barriers, volunteers like Jerry are breaking them down—one patient at a time. His care is not only compassionate, it's life-changing.

Join us tonight to support our dear friend Nicole from Out of the Box as she battles a rare form of kidney disease. Nicole donated one of her kidneys over ten years ago to a child in need and is one of the most generous, kind, compassionate people we know. She is a staunch supporter of the clinic and we hope you can show her some love tonight. She needs her community now more than ever.
