Pediatric Post Therapies is coming to KidFest 2026!
Activity: Outdoor Obstacle Course
Pediatric POST Therapies is a multidisciplinary pediatric clinic serving families in the Crystal Lake community through physical, occupational, speech, and mental health services. We provide neuro-affirming, inclusive, play-based care that honors each child’s strengths, interests, and individual developmental journey. Our team creates movement-rich, sensory-supportive experiences that promote healthy habits, confidence, communication, and meaningful life skills. We emphasize family collaboration and real-world application, helping children build skills that carry into school, home, and community settings. Each summer, we offer a community outing group where children explore local parks, businesses, and organizations while participating in volunteer opportunities. These experiences encourage teamwork, responsibility, social connection, and community engagement in authentic, supportive ways. We also hope to expand our programming to include a transitional readiness program designed to help children build independence, daily living skills, and confidence as they prepare for new environments and life stages. Tomorrow is SUPER Sensory Sunday here at Jurassic Gardens & Volo Museum!

A one-of-a-kind sensory family-friendly event!

Every 3rd Sunday of the month, Jurassic Gardens hosts a Sensory Sunday event from 10am-12pm, but this one is special! In addition to partnering with Rockin’ the Spectrum, Scale World Order, and our new friends at Pediatric Post and That Kid Place are joining us to make it an even more amazing day!

What to expect:
From 10am-12pm, Jurassic Gardens will be quiet, and all of the animatronic dinosaurs will be still, allowing dino lovers of all ages to enjoy our 15,000 sq ft dinosaur park at their own pace and comfort level.

That Kid Place will be onsite all day providing a 60 foot sensory activity trailer with wheelchair access. Every square inch is filled with elaborate activities, from games to crawling tubes.

Scale World Order will be hosting a live reptile meet and greet, where you can pet and interact with amazing pythons, tortoises, and more!

Pediatric Post will include a dinosaur discovery quest, dino egg hunt, dinosaur crafts, fossil digs, sensory seats and tiles, story time adventure, sing-alongs, fidgets, and weighted lap pads, therapists onsite with free consultations, and more! We will have additional sensory activities, an Easter Egg Hunt with prizes, a live reptile meet-and-greet, and discounted mini golf.

Rockin’ the Spectrum will also be providing activities and services. Both will have stations set up to welcome you, have fun, and be ready to explain their services or provide any available resources. It’s a safe space for all families to come together and share adventures and memories.
