It’s National Relaxation Day! This day invites us to slow down, pause the hustle, and simply breathe.

At Caravel, we believe rest is more than a luxury, it’s a necessity for well-being. Whether it's a gentle stroll in nature, a calming bath, or a cozy moment with a book in hand, let today be your reminder: doing nothing can be everything.

Here are some easy, restorative ideas to lean into today:

🌞Just Be Present: Step away from screens for a few minutes. Sit quietly, breathe deeply, feel your world slow.
🌱Nature Stroll: Even a short walk amidst greenery can lower stress and refresh the mind.
🧘‍♂️Mindful Movement: Try a few minutes of gentle yoga, tai chi, or stretching to awaken calm.
📓Creative Pause: Draw, knit, journal. Choose any simple, hands-on activity that brings peace.

National Relaxation Day was created in 1985 by nine-year-old Sean Moeller from Michigan, who championed a day of true rest: no chores, no hustle, just peace.

We’re inviting Caravel kids and families to explore the world of community helpers through Humanitarian-themed coloring pages this month!

Stop by your local clinic to pick up free coloring activities (or ask your local Clinic Director for a downloadable link) and talk about what it means to be a helper in your neighborhood. It's fun, creative, and full of heart. 💗

Today is National Son and Daughter Day: A reminder to slow down and celebrate the joy our children bring to our lives.

At Caravel, we invite you to start a new tradition: write your child a Letter of Love. Share something you admire, a moment you’ll never forget, or a dream you have for their future. Whether you read it aloud or tuck it away as a keepsake, it’s a gift they’ll treasure for years to come.

And then, make a little magic. Choose one thing they love, and do it together: a board game, a walk, a silly dance, a quiet chat under the stars.

This week, Camp Caravel took over across the company, with each location creating its own camp-themed adventures.

At Camp Pewaukee, the crew cooked up ooey-gooey s’mores, shared laughs, and made sweet memories together.
