Want to learn how to support someone experiencing a mental health challenge or crisis? Join NAMI McHenry County for Adult Mental Health First Aid, sponsored by the Veterans Assistance Commission of McHenry County.

This 8-hour certification course teaches participants how to recognize signs of mental health challenges and respond with confidence and compassion.

Training Format:
• 2-hour online pre-coursework
• 6-hour in-person training

This training is great for community members, educators, first responders, healthcare workers, employers, and anyone who wants to better support mental health in their community.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and NAMI McHenry County is taking on the 31 in 31 Challenge!

Our goal is simple but powerful:
Reach 31 organizations in 31 days with mental health education and training across McHenry County.

These trainings help communities recognize mental health challenges, support others, and build stronger, healthier workplaces and schools.

Available Trainings Include:
• QPR Su***de Prevention Training
• Ending the Silence
• Mental Health in the Workplace
• Burnout & Self-Care in the Workplace
• Mental Health & Wellbeing for Adults
• Firearm Safety Training
• Grief Awareness Training

The majority of the training is available in English and Spanish.
