For many people living with mental health conditions, isolation can be one of the hardest challenges. Community changes everything.

That’s the heart of NAMI McHenry County’s new Drop-In Center, opening in early 2026 in our permanent home on Memorial Drive. This clubhouse-style space will offer adults a safe, welcoming place to connect, build friendships, develop skills, and discover purpose.

Yesterday, our Spanish Family Support Group came together to celebrate the holidays and wrap up an incredible year. Families shared traditional dishes, laughter, and connection while enjoying a fun game of Lotería (Mexican bingo). Moments like these remind us of the power of community, culture, and support. 💙

Today, we had our staff holiday party! It was a wonderful afternoon of cheer and an especially spirited game of Family Feud.

This year, we also had the honor celebrating the retirement of Deb, our amazing Certified Recovery Support Specialist. Deb, thank you for your passion and dedication to NAMI's mission. We will miss you!

We are wishing our community a peaceful, joyful, and restorative holiday season.
