💪 I trained for months for Patagonia.

And here's what that training actually gave me:

✅ Never once out of breath on the trail
✅ Quads and hamstrings strong the entire time
✅ Consistent pace — slow but never stopping
✅ Recovered overnight, every night

The things I feared most — leg fatigue, pain, struggling to keep up — never happened.

Because I built the foundation BEFORE I needed it.

You don't need to be training for Patagonia to apply this lesson.

What foundation are you building right now for what's coming next in your life?

🏔️ Things Patagonia taught me that I didn't expect:

1. My legs were fine. My boots were not. 🥾
2. River water straight from the source tastes like pure qi 💧
3. Dan will eventually ask for LMNT if you wait long enough 😂
4. Morning yoga in a tiny tent is still morning yoga ✅
5. Camping is not for me. At all. Ever. 🏕️❌
6. Strangers on a trail become friends for life 🤝
7. Disconnecting from your phone for a week is the best medicine nobody prescribes 📵

What's the best unexpected lesson YOUR body has taught you lately?

Drop it below 👇

🌿 Here's something I think about every day in my clinic:

Foot care starts before the blister.

If I had protected my feet on Day 1 of my Patagonia hike — before any rubbing, before any pain — I might have finished the full trek.

But I waited until there was a problem.

By then the damage was done.

Sound familiar?

That back pain that "started last Tuesday" has been building for years.
That fatigue that "came out of nowhere" — your body has been compensating quietly for a long time.
That knee that "suddenly gave out" — the foundation was eroding long before the collapse.

Foot care starts before the blister.

Body care starts before the symptom.

Your body has been talking to you for a while. Are you listening? 👇

🧘 Every single morning in Patagonia I woke up stiff.

Legs aching. Body feeling every mile of the day before.

Every single morning I did 10 minutes of modified yoga in a small tent.

No mat. No space. No perfect conditions.

And every single morning after that — I was ready to go.

No significant leg pain. No lasting fatigue. Four days of brutal hiking on some of the most unforgiving terrain I've ever seen.

The things I was most worried about — leg fatigue and pain — never materialized.

Morning mobility was a significant reason why.

You don't need a studio. You don't need an hour. You need 10-15 minutes and a commitment.

What would change for you if you started every morning this way? 👇

💧 Dan never drinks electrolytes.

Never.

Not once in all the years I've been telling him to.

Day 3 of a brutal Patagonia hike — he stopped on the trail and asked for LMNT.
His body knew exactly what it needed. And it asked for it. 😂

That's what happens when you're under real physical stress — your body will tell you what it needs if you're paying attention.

Are you paying attention to yours?

LMNT is available at Walmart, Target and Vitamin Shoppe. No excuses. 😄

🩹 After Patagonia I discovered something that would have changed everything.
All Health Hydrocolloid Gel Blister Cushions.

On their website they actually show someone TRYING TO CUT THROUGH THE MATERIAL. That's how durable these are.

They:
✅ Flex and bend with your foot
✅ Stay on for multiple days
✅ Protect the blister from friction rather than just covering it
✅ Work for hikers, nurses, teachers — anyone on their feet

Moleskin is old news. These are what I'm packing next time.

Find them on Amazon — search All Health Hydrocolloid Gel Blister Cushions.

🥾 I had a backup plan for my boots.

The backup plan made everything worse.

Boot #1 — had a ridge I'd never noticed. Destroyed my left little toe by Day 1.
Boot #2 — slightly too short. On Patagonia's constant downhill rock scrambling, my feet jammed forward with every step. Black and blue by Day 2.
By Day 3 every step felt like walking on shards of glass.

The lesson?

Even gear you've trusted for years can fail under different conditions. Test everything specifically for what you're about to face — not what you've faced before.

This applies to your health too. What worked before might not be what your body needs now.

🏕️ Things I learned about myself in Patagonia:

✅ My cardiovascular training actually worked
✅ Morning yoga can fix almost anything
✅ River water straight from the source is incredible
✅ My body is stronger than I thought
❌ I absolutely hate camping

I did not know that last one until I was lying in a tent in the wind and rain after 10 hours of hiking over rocks.

Now I know. 😂

Know yourself. It's not weakness — it's wisdom.

💊 3 out of 4 people on my Patagonia trail got sick.

Same trail. Same conditions. Same river water.

I didn't get sick.

If anyone in a group is going to come down with something — it's usually me. Not this time.

What was different?

✅ SNIP Nutrigenomics — my genetically customized supplementation built specifically for MY body's needs
✅ LMNT electrolytes — every single day on the trail
✅ Immune supporting peptides

Vitamins AND minerals. Together they form the true foundation your body needs to perform — especially under stress.

🏔️ I'm back from Patagonia.

The hardest hike of my life.

I trained for months. I worried about my legs giving out. I worried about being the slowest one on the trail. I worried about whether my body could handle it.

Here's what I learned about worry — it rarely lands where you expect it to.

The things I feared most? Never happened.

The thing that almost stopped me? My boots.

This month I'm sharing everything:
🥾 The boot disaster that almost ended my hike
🧘 The morning routine that saved my legs every single day
💊 Why I was the only one who didn't get sick
🌿 The lesson that changed how I think about every patient I see
