🚨El Consentimiento Termina Donde Comienza la Coerción “ARRESTO CONSENSUADO” ES UNA MENTIRA 🚨
Ayer, los equipos de respuesta presenciaron cómo agentes de ICE se reunieron frente al Ayuntamiento de Carpentersville con una furgoneta llena de miembros de nuestra comunidad, algunos de los cuales habían sido subcontratados para el mantenimiento del paisajismo de la ciudad.
Estos son trabajadores, personas que se presentan todos los días para servir a esta ciudad, fueron emboscados y llevados por ICE.
En un cruel giro de ironía, fueron llevados al mismo Ayuntamiento de la ciudad que ellos ayudaron a mantener hermosa.
Un agente describió estas detenciones como “arrestos consensuados”. Pero no hay nada consensual en ser rodeado y detenido mientras trabajas para servir a tu comunidad.
ICE quiere que el público crea que la gente acepta su propio arresto, que el silencio equivale a consentimiento, que el miedo equivale a permiso.
Como todo abusador que alguna vez ha dicho: “Ellos no dijeron que no”.
⚠️ Para protegerte, habla claramente. ICE puede intentar afirmar que accediste “voluntariamente” a un encuentro si no respondes.
🗣️ Puedes decir:
~ “¿Soy libre de irme?”
~ “No doy mi consentimiento para esta interacción.”
~ Si dicen que sí, aléjate con calma.
~Si dicen que no o te detienen físicamente, eso significa que no es consensual.
~ En ese momento, se convierte en una detención y tu derecho a guardar silencio se aplica plenamente.
~ Recuerda: hacer valer tus derechos no es agresión, es protección.
Mantén la calma. Mantente alerta. Mantente conectado.

🚨Consent Ends Where Coercion Begins “CONSENSUAL ARREST” IS A LIE 🚨
Yesterday, responders witnessed how ICE agents gathered outside of Carpentersville Village Hall with a van full of our community members, some of whom were subcontracted to maintain city landscaping.
These are workers, people who show up every day to serve the city; they were ambushed and taken by ICE.
In a cruel twist of irony, they were brought to the very Village Hall of the city they helped keep beautiful.
One agent described these detentions as “consensual arrests.” But there is nothing consensual about being surrounded and taken while you work to serve your community.
ICE wants the public to believe people agree to their own arrest, that silence equals consent, that fear equals permission.
Like every abuser who’s ever said, “They didn’t say no.”
⚠️ To protect yourself, speak clearly. ICE may try to claim you “voluntarily” agreed to an encounter if you don’t respond.
🗣️ You can say:
• “Am I free to go?”
• “I don’t consent to this interaction.”
~If they say yes, calmly walk away.
~If they say no or physically stop you, that means it’s not consensual.
~ At that point, it becomes a detention and your right to remain silent fully applies.
~ Remember: asserting your rights is not aggression, it’s protection.
