As we age, nutrition plays a vital role in maintaining our health and vitality.
To ensure seniors are getting the nutrients they need, focus on the following:
🫘Choose whole grains to boost fiber intake
🥑Incorporate foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids for heart health and cognitive function
🌊Stay hydrated throughout the day to avoid dehydration
🥜Boost nuts and seeds to provide healthy fats and proteins

As we age, keeping our minds sharp is just as important as maintaining our physical health.
Engage in activities that challenge your brain!🧠

When my mother’s health began to deteriorate, I realized the care I wanted for her was difficult to find. My family and I weren’t close to her geographically, so we looked for help. Instead, we found scheduling inconsistencies, a rotating door of caregivers and sporadic adherence to the care plan from companies. I knew my mother felt her loss of independence very deeply, and I felt frustrated at the lack of quality options. I wanted to make sure other families were able to avoid these challenges by offering compassionate, superior care for their loved ones.
The thing that gives me the most pleasure is seeing a client smile and knowing we’re having a positive impact on their day. A lot our clients have been dealt a hand they didn’t anticipate. If we can make their day better, in whatever way possible, we’ve done our job. Sheryl Taubin, our director of client care and a Certified Dementia Practitioner®, will bake cookies or pretzels with clients or do things they may have enjoyed but can’t do anymore. Those small gestures have great benefits on the well-being of our clients. We strive to have those favorable moments every day.
