Two weeks ago, I made the decision to attend Sage Burgener’s Bad Bitch Camp, not knowing what I was truly in for. I went to celebrate my birthday, but what I gained was something far beyond what I could have ever imagined.
From the moment Day 1 began, I knew it was going to be a journey. Physically demanding? Absolutely. Mentally challenging? Without a doubt. But what I didn’t expect was to meet a group of strong, resilient women—women who had overcome so much and still pushed forward, unbroken and unapologetically themselves.
As Day 2 began, we set out for a 9-mile trail run. I knew we could do it. I knew it would be challenging, but I couldn’t wait to finish. These women—these warriors—believed in each other, and in that belief, we all made it to the end. As I returned to the group on the last loop, I will never forget the hug from Sage, and me asking, “Am I an official Bad Bitch now?”
The day wasn’t over. The afternoon was filled with more lifting (I hit a PR on my clean!), more running, and more challenges that took us to our limits. Mentally, I was pushed in ways I never thought possible. I remember looking around the room, seeing each woman, and wishing they could see themselves through my eyes. They were meant for greatness.
Day 3 came, and it felt like a dream. Sage told us her dad, the legendary Mike Burgener, would be joining us for a Q&A session. And then, to have him stay and coach us? It was surreal. It was a full-circle moment—one I will never forget.
Sage has a gift, one that goes beyond coaching. She inspires. She listens. She accepts you as you are and helps you realize the strength you already have within you.
I leave this camp with more than just physical gains—I leave with a stronger mind, a fuller heart, and a deeper belief in my own potential. I will return. I will keep pushing. I will carry the strength she helped me find with me, always.
This weekend changed me—physically, mentally, and spiritually—and I’m forever grateful. 💪❤️
