At Crystal River Health and Rehabilitation Center, we brought the spirit of Mardi Gras to life with great food, festive fun, and lots of smiles!

A huge thank you to Tiffany Velazquez, Activities Director, and our incredible team for putting together a wonderful cookout for our residents and staff. Your hard work and dedication made the celebration truly special.

From delicious food to vibrant decorations, it was a day filled with joy, laughter, and community. We are so grateful for the team that makes moments like these possible!

This year’s photo highlights several remarkable milestones:

✨ Dr. Alex Villacastin, Medical Director – Celebrating over 20 years of dedicated leadership and compassionate service to our residents.

✨ Ray Perez, Pharmacist – Honoring over 10 years of commitment to ensuring the highest standards in medication management and resident care.

✨ Julie Schneider, RN, Regional Consultant – Recognizing more than 20 years of outstanding support, guidance, and expertise within our facility.

February is Heart Health Month, and understanding the signs of a heart attack can save lives, especially for older adults and the people who care about them. ❤️ Heart attacks don’t always look the way people expect. Some symptoms are sudden and intense
but many begin slowly with mild discomfort. Knowing what to look for can make all the difference!

The countdown to retirement is officially complete!

Please join us in congratulating John Mosley, Maintenance Director, on his well‑deserved retirement.

John never missed a chance to remind us of his exact tenure — 10 years, 9 months, and 27 days of dedicated service.

He proudly served our facility as Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor, and finished his career leading our Maintenance Department with commitment, reliability, and heart.

We will truly miss him.

John is looking forward to spending more time doing what he loves — golfing, fishing, and cheering on his Philadelphia Eagles.
