At this month’s Leadership Forum, leaders from across our academic health system came together to connect around a shared goal: delivering a unified, world-class experience for every patient we serve.

Among the many insightful presentations of the day, we explored how to elevate the ambulatory experience through communication, professionalism, and human connection, and how we’re raising the bar in critical care across the entire system.

At the heart of it all was a conversation around how we exemplify our vision: be the safest and most innovative academic health system in America. And our shared purpose: We heal. We teach. We innovate. Care for everyone. Every day.

Our TGH Women’s Institute has been ranked #5 in the nation by U.S. News and World Report for 2025–26, and #1 in Florida for the fourth consecutive year! 🎉

To celebrate this incredible milestone, leadership from across the Women’s Institute visited the units and departments who make this recognition possible, including L&D, antepartum and postpartum, Mom/Baby, 7C, 4K and 3F pre/post-op, OB sonography, Genesis, and more. A cart full of candy and tons of gratitude were shared with the team members who bring this level of excellence to every patient, every day.

This achievement reflects the strength of the region's only academic health system and the power of collaboration across every corner of care. 💙

From being told he’d never get into medical school to pioneering new robotic surgery techniques, Dr. Christopher DuCoin's story is one of grit, resilience and relentless purpose. Today, he’s shaping the future of surgery, teaching the next generation of physicians and giving back to the very community that once gave him his shot.
