The real importance of Comprehensive Eye Exams:

Robert recently came into the office for a comprehensive eye exam with Dr. Boss. During his exam, Dr. Boss found something concerning and recommended the patient follow up with his Cardiologist. Robert became anxious by this news while Dr. Boss was able to help keep him calm. Robert followed up with his Cardiologist and ended up needing another procedure. He came into our office after the follow up to thank Dr. Boss saying "she saved my life".

Robert's story reminds us that eye exams are about so much more than just what we can see and whether or not we need glasses or contact lenses. Our eyes can tell whole stories and help diagnose problems with our bodies before we notice them. Robert even mentioned himself that prior to his visit, he had not seen an eye doctor in about 5 years. Our providers recommend annual exams with retinal screenings to help get a good look in the back of your eyes and track for any changes.
