Hometown Pharmacy opened in Cuba City in 2014 and has been voted “Best of the Best” Pharmacy in Southwest Wisconsin every year since. Their staff loves being a part of the community and strives to offer personalized service. They offer a variety of services including free prescription delivery, immunizations, blood pressure screenings, nutritional supplements, medication therapy management, and medication packaging for patients who need a little extra help managing their medications. There is an Occupational Therapist on staff that can provide expert care in home help-aids, compression wear and diabetic shoe fitting. They also carry a full line of over the counter medications, vitamins, herbal and natural health & beauty products. Customers can also browse through the unique selection of seasonal gift items, home décor products, greeting cards, apparel and much more. As a member of the Cuba City Lions and Chamber of Commerce, Hometown Pharmacy has remained busy serving the Cuba City community such as the Christmas in Cuba City activities and the Community Market. The pharmacist, Jon, has also been a guest speaker at the ADRC and St.Rose Catholic Daughters events.
I'm Jon Wilson, pharmacist and partner-owner of Hometown Pharmacy in Cuba City. Shortly after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1990, I became the managing pharmacist in one of the busiest chain pharmacies in Wisconsin. Wanting to return to the practice of pharmacy as healthcare, I decided to leave the hectic, impersonal setting of a large chain pharmacy and began work at a small independent store. I partnered with Hometown Pharmacy in 2014 and opened a pharmacy in Cuba City where I have been able to expand a health and wellness approach to pharmacy. One of my goals as a pharmacist is to help people get off of medications. I enjoys learning about new and innovative ways to improve patient healthcare, including educating himself about disease prevention, supplementation and overall health and wellness.
