Angelic Moon Holistic Day Spa is your "GREEN" day spa in the Florida Keys. Step inside to RELEASE your stress, RESTORE your balance and RESURRECT your greatness! Angelic Moon has been coined “A Haven for Healing” and we would like to partner with you to heal your mind, body & spirit. Our holistic and natural approach takes the whole person into consideration. We don’t just talk about the mind, body and spirit connection. We actually provide a menu of holistic services to strengthen it. At your green day spa you will find natural, certified organic, and fair-trade ingredients in a variety of treatments, but our earth-friendly consciousness doesn’t stop there. We have a holistic approach which includes the whole person as well as their environment. Our environmentally conscious and ecologically-friendly attitude is evident upon arrival. Solar lighting illuminates the exterior, while compact fluorescent lighting fills the interior. Zero VOC (volatile organic compounds) paint adorns the walls which contributes to healthy indoor air quality, and reduces possible allergy concerns. Your décor is an inviting, eclectic blend of recycled, re-purposed and re-used furniture. Your towels and linen are made from certified organic cotton, and bamboo. Even the cleaning products that maintain your healthy and sanitary spa environment are formulated with natural (plant) ingredients, to protect you and the outside environment. Biodegradeable supplies are used during your treatment and throughout the spa, including biodegradeable pens to sign your receipt with. Because your green day spa is 95% paperless an “eco-menu” is e-mailed to those who would like to see the list of services we provide. There are also copies of the menu on display in the window and inside the spa, as well as a listing on our website (www.angelicmoon7.com). Limited copies of paper menus printed on recycled paper are available to those without access to the internet. Your green day spa is the ONLY one of its kind (green/holistic) in the Florida Keys. An example of why Earth Day is Everyday...

Story time! ***I do not recommend anyone emulate what I’m about to share here, please make good choices!*** Driving into Marathon earlier today I noticed a large(ish) sheet of clear plastic rolled up on the side of the 7 Mile, then a piece of large yellow tarp plastic maybe 50 yards further. Traffic was heavy both ways, no way to safely stop. On the way home I saw both still there, but still heavy traffic. I decided to make an extra effort, so once I got back on the other side of the bridge, I waited til there was absolutely no visible traffic (took a while), turned around and started onto the bridge again. With not a car in sight behind me the entire time, I was able to safely stop and retrieve the rolled up clear plastic, stuff it in the backseat and get going. I got to the yellow piece and realized it was thick, heavy and difficult to fold. I looked back and saw one van coming closer, so I opened the hatch up, stuffed it inside then ran back inside slamming my door shut with seconds to spare. I could tell he saw what I was doing as thankfully he gave wide berth to me. I’m telling you, my adrelinine was pumping!!! Of course after I got back on the Marathon side I had to turn around and head back to Big Pine. Not my first rodeo stopping for large debris but it’s something I do not recommend. I only do these things when I really feel the odds (and angels) are in my favor. These items are pollutants and killing machines in the ocean and would certainly have made their way over the barriers, not to mention both could have blown onto someone’s windshield causing obstruction. It took 2 of us to fold down that yellow tarp back home, it’s thick and not overly yielding. I think it likely came off a load of rock or fill because it’s covered in a concrete type of dust. Bridges down here do not get cleaned unless there’s a commercial and then “they” want everything pristine for appearances sake. I’ve lived several places where street sweeping was an actual real thing, I will never understand why it doesn’t exist here. Anyway… like I said I don’t think it’s a good idea to do what I did but at least I pulled these things off the bridge without wildlife, marine life (or me) being harmed, or worse. Earth Day is every day.
