We had a blast when the Cuero Fighting Gobblers dropped by for a visit! Our residents were so excited to cheer them on as the boys worked on their team-building skills. It’s always such a joy when the Gobbler Boys come to hang out with us!

Our Gobbler Pride shines bright with our amazing residents! They had a fantastic evening filled with good company and tasty snacks as they cheered on our local boys in green, who put on a great show and brought home the win!

A huge thank you to Remarkable Hospice for their wonderful donation of cookies for our Community Bingo! Everyone absolutely loved them!

Join us at Whispering Oaks for Community Bingo every third Wednesday of the month from 2 PM to 3 PM. We’d love to see you there! Come enjoy some delicious snacks and take the chance to chat and connect with other amazing members of our community, as well as our lovely residents. Hope to see you soon!

Our residents had such a wonderful time today enjoying the sunshine and fresh summer air! They spent the afternoon feeding the ducks, sharing smiles, and soaking up the beautiful weather.

We can’t thank our incredible Maintenance Director, Phillip, enough for treating all of us to his amazing grilled hamburgers today! Not only did they taste fantastic, but it was such a thoughtful gesture that brought us all together. Phillip, your hard work and kindness mean so much to everyone here, and today was just another example of how lucky we are to have you. Thank you for going above and beyond for our team, not just today, but every single day!

Nothing says summer like a sweet, fizzy treat! Our residents had a blast enjoying classic root beer floats this afternoon. Smiles and laughter filled the room as everyone savored the perfect combo of ice cream and root beer.

When asked about her experience at Whispering Oaks this summer, Faith shared:

“Working at Whispering Oaks has been a truly wonderful and unforgettable experience. The entire staff welcomed me with open arms, supported me every step of the way, and helped me complete my CNA certification. I’ve learned so much and built meaningful relationships with both the residents and the team. I will truly miss being part of such a caring and compassionate environment.”

Faith is now gearing up to return to Tarleton State University to continue her journey toward becoming a physical therapist. We’re incredibly proud of her achievements and can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next!

Exercise isn’t always fun, but staying active is so important, especially for maintaining range of motion!
That’s why we’re always looking for creative and engaging ways to keep our residents moving. This week, we introduced a fun “Scoop and Drop” game!
By turning exercise into a playful and competitive activity, our residents stayed focused on the fun, not the workout, and had a blast in the process!
