Recently, members of our Obstetrics staff from Cuero Regional Hospital attended the annual conference hosted by Texas Collaborative for Healthy Mothers and Babies (TCHMB). This statewide initiative focuses on improving outcomes for mothers and newborns across Texas.
During the conference, our team from left to right, Terry RN certified breastfeeding counselor, Elena RN bedside nurse champion, and Bobbi CRH Childbirth Center Director, received advanced education on breastfeeding support and the Safe Sleep Initiative for the State of Texas. These evidence-based practices are designed to promote healthy bonding, reduce infant complications, and lower the risk of sleep-related infant deaths. From reinforcing skin-to-skin contact and lactation support to ensuring families understand the ABCs of safe sleep (Alone, on their Back, in a Crib), our nurses are strengthening the care and education we provide every day.
Investing in ongoing training ensures that families delivering at Cuero Regional Hospital receive care aligned with the highest state standards — right here, close to home.
We are proud of our OB staff for their dedication to safe, compassionate, and evidence-based maternity care. 💙
