DRY PRAIRIE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
Operator/Field Representative/Construction Inspector
Permanent, Full-Time Position
Plentywood/Westby Area

Dry Prairie Rural Water is accepting applications for a permanent, full-time Operator/Field Representative/ Construction Inspector. Applicants living in and around the Plentywood and Westby areas are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will be based out of the Plentywood Field Office.

Starting wage will be $24.74/hr or more, depending upon education and/or experience. On the job training will be provided. Some overtime and shared on-call hours will be expected. Full benefits package includes vision/dental/health insurance, retirement, vacation and sick leave benefits.
A company vehicle and cell phone will be provided.

Halloween is fast approaching
Parents, Daycare providers, etc... Bring your trick-or-treaters to the Culbertson Dry Prairie office on HALLOWEEN any time between 8:00am and 5:00pm. We will provide the treat bags (with candy included of course) to the first twelve kids to arrive, everyone else will still leave with plenty of treats.

Dry Prairie was honored yesterday to be asked to host the Montana Governor’s Veteran Commendation Award Ceremony. This award is given to veterans who served their country in uniform, as well as making a positive impact in their community.

Clint Jacobs of Culbertson was the recipient of the award. Clint worked as the coordinator and then Manager for Dry Prairie for almost 15 years and was instrumental in bringing clean drinking water to the people of northeast Montana. Clint’s friends and family, as well as Dry Prairie Board Members and employees were on hand to celebrate Clint.

DRY PRAIRIE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
Temporary Full-time Position for any of the following areas:
CULBERTSON-PLENTYWOOD-WESTBY-SCOBEY

Dry Prairie Rural Water is accepting applications for a temporary, full-time Maintenance Technician. Position is for 40hrs per week and will begin ASAP and continue throughout the summer and into early fall (exact end date will depend upon the successful applicant). Wage will be $19.00/hr. Hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm (Holidays off with pay). The successful applicant will be supervised out of the Culbertson Office (applicant does not need to live in Culbertson). The workday may start at various locations. A pick-up, gas card and all necessary tools and equipment will be provided.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Mowing and w**ding around the office, pump stations, reservoirs, vaults and valves as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Applicant must:
• Be 18 years of age or older
• Have the ability to interact effectively with other employees and landowners
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Be able to routinely lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Be capable of towing/hooking up and backing up a small trailer and securing the load, operating mowers & w**d eaters safely, sharpen and/or change blades and string, etc.
• Have a basic understanding of small mechanical equipment, check oil, air filters, check and/or change tires

The Dry Prairie Board took time prior to the Board Meeting yesterday to congratulate employee Darlene Haus on reaching her 5 year milestone with Dry Prairie. The Board and staff recognized Darlene for her outstanding service to the customers of Dry Prairie Rural Water. Darlene was hired as the part-time Administrative Assistant and Billing Clerk in 2018, and has since transitioned to full time. Darlene has a smile and a laugh for every customer coming in the door or calling on the phone (even when she's making collection calls). 😅 Chairman Rick Knick presented Darlene with a plaque of appreciation and her five-year award. Thank you Darlene for all you do to keep the office running smoothly.
