Early Monday morning, Wetawnya lost her herb shop, Herbs, Organics & More, and prenatal space in a devastating fire. While she was faithfully serving a family and helping bring new life into the world, she was also experiencing this heartbreaking loss.

Wetawnya has poured so much love, care, and dedication into serving families all across Central and North Alabama. If you’ve ever stepped into her space, you know it was filled with intention, peace, and a deep love for the work the Lord has called her to.

As a community, we have the opportunity to come alongside her and support her as she rebuilds.

I am raffling off a birth photography session to help raise funds for Wetawnya during this time.

• Each entry is $30 (each entry = one name in the drawing)
• You may enter as many times as you’d like

The winner will be drawn on Monday, April 20, 2026 at 5 PM

The winner will receive a $600 birth photography session

Session details:
• Due date must fall between April–September

Wetawnya is a local midwife here in Cullman who has served mothers all over North and Central Alabama. She also owns an herb shop in Cullman, on Monday morning she lost her herb shop to a devastating fire.
There’s so many things I could say about Wetawnya. How caring, kind, and giving of a woman she is. But the biggest thing that sticks in my mind is how she takes care of others and by taking care of others she shows the love of Jesus. I have the honor of getting to work with Wetawnya pretty often and getting to see firsthand how she gives all that she has to every single one of her clients and every person who steps through her herb shop doors is inspiring.
Now it’s time for our community to give back to the woman who has given so much to us for years.
Please donate what you feel led to but most of all, pray. Please pray for comfort and strength in this time of hardship for Wetawnya🩷

As this year comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on all the firsts I experienced alongside my clients.
I witnessed a mother blessing another mother with the gift of a child.
I walked with a husband and wife as they bravely said goodbye to their full-term daughter.
Alongside , I supported a family who, after unimaginable loss, welcomed their precious daughter into the world just one year later.
I supported a mama through a five-day labor.
I witnessed babies arrive on Thanksgiving morning, Christmas Eve morning, and even Christmas Day
I experienced my highest number of home births and began assisting with home births as well.
This year has held the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. And even in the hardest moments, I saw the Lord moving in ways I could have never imagined.
To every family who trusted me with such sacred moments, thank you. I always say that once you hire me, you’re family forever. Thank you for allowing me to hold space for you, advocate for you, dry your tears, encourage your strength, and offer tough love when needed.
When God called me into this work over three years ago, I never could have imagined where I’d be today. And to Amaze Yourself Doula Service, and Rooted In Love, LLC..I LOVE Y’ALL! These women backup for me and are always willing to help! They are like sisters to me and I couldn’t do doula work without them! From the bottom of my heart, thank you ❤️

Two years ago I contacted Keri asking if she would support me through my birth. Little did I know that was the start of a very special friendship.
Here we are two years later and I had the honor of supporting Keri as she welcomed her precious daughter into the world.
