CJ House: Restoring Women Outreach announces 6th sober-living home - The Cullman Tribune - Featured

So grateful to have been included in today’s Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program meeting alongside nine other nonprofit agencies.

As I looked around the room, something powerful stood out — since 2011, Restoring Women Outreach has partnered with every one of them in some way.

That’s when the phrase came to mind: Community, not competition.

Each organization was there to share their mission, but at the heart of it all, we were united by one purpose — serving the people of Cullman. Different missions. Same heart.

You really can’t have a bad day when you’re surrounded by people who choose to serve others.

For more than 45 years, United Way has walked alongside this community, caring deeply about the people who call Cullman County and Winston County home. Our roots run deep here, built on decades of service, compassion, and commitment.

Over the years, we have learned, grown, and listened. We have faced challenges, embraced honest reflection, and strengthened the way we serve. That growth has helped us become more intentional, more collaborative, and more focused on creating lasting solutions for our neighbors.

Today, we work not only to respond to needs but to understand them and address them together. We bring partners to the table, invest wisely, and lead with purpose so families, children, and individuals can build stronger, healthier lives.

Some may notice that we have grown and adapted over time. We see that as a sign of progress. Because meaningful impact requires learning, unity, and action.

This is not just about honoring where we have been. It is about moving forward together. With heart, hope, and a shared vision, United Way remains committed to building a future where every person in Cullman County and Winston County has the opportunity to thrive.

Do you have a truck you’re not using? 🚚

Restoring Women Outreach is in urgent need of an older truck to help us serve women rebuilding their lives.

We use trucks to move donated furniture, set up recovery homes, and support local outreach for women coming out of addiction and homelessness. One donated truck can help us say YES to so many women who need a safe place to start again.

✨ Donations are tax-deductible.
✨ Serving Cullman County since 2011.

If you have a truck — or know someone who does — please message us or call today.
Your old truck could give a woman a brand new start.

CJ House has been blessed — and our hearts are full.

Today we paused to give thanks for this home, for the lives that will be rebuilt here, and for every person who helped make this possible.

CJ House exists to offer hope, healing, and a fresh start for women in recovery. We are grateful beyond words for the support, prayers, and love that surround this place.

This house is ready to welcome new beginnings. 💙
